NFL Betting Odds – Week 3 Action Report

Kansas City Chiefs

NFL Bettors went all in on the Kansas City Chiefs against the Packers in Week 3. That didn’t work out well.

In a week that saw underdogs cover eight of 16 point spreads, with six of those dogs winning outright, it was the last pup that ended up burning Week 3 bettors.

The Chiefs opened as touchdown underdogs at Lambeau Field and saw more betting action than any team yet this season before they were trampled by the Packers. Is this the win that gets everyone on board the Green Bay train?

The Packers opened as 9-point favourites on the road in San Francisco. Check out all of Sports Interaction’s NFL betting odds here.

NFL Spreads Week 4: Best Picks Against the Spread

Most Popular NFL Bets

Kansas City Chiefs – This one comes as a bit of a surprise considering the Packers were Week 3’s most popular NFL bet, but the Chiefs weren’t nearly as good as this 38-28 score suggested. The Chiefs are now 1-2 both straight up and against the spread as they head into Week 4 as Cincinnati as a 3.5-point underdog.

Thursday Night Football and Sunday Night Football – No surprise here – both of these standalone games saw major action. The Denver Broncos and Detroit Lions split a large Sunday Night Football handle and the same was true when the New York Giants downed Washington to begin the week on Thursday.

Buffalo Bills – Among the Sunday afternoon games, no team saw more action than the Bills, who blew out the Dolphins in Miami as 1-point underdogs. The Bills saw about three times the betting handle as Miami.

Least Popular NFL Bets

Minnesota Vikings – No team saw less betting support in Week 3 and the Vikings proved their doubters wrong with a 31-14 victory over the San Diego Chargers as Adrian Peterson notched another 100-yard game on the ground with two touchdowns. The Vikings are 6.5-point underdogs on the Week 4 point spread at Denver.

Jacksonville Jaguars – New England is where teams go to take a beating and bettors saw that coming last week. Just 22 percent of bettors supported the Jags as 14.5-point underdogs and Jacksonville is set as a 9-point underdog at Indianapolis.

New Orleans Saints – Betting support for the Saints has gone down the drain. The Carolina Panthers saw more than double the betting support as the Saints in Week 3. New Orleans is now 0-3 straight up and 1-2 against the spread ahead of a Sunday Night Football date against Dallas this week.

Super Bowl 50

More action on the Seattle Seahawks forced a move in their Super Bowl 50 odds from +650 last week to +600 this week.
