The Atlanta Falcons and New Orleans Saints meet in an NFC South rivalry game on Monday night with both teams looking to climb back to .500.

Atlanta improved to 1-2 with a 35-14 victory at Green Bay last week. Bijan Robinson rushed for 194 yards and two touchdowns, while Drake London had 194 receiving yards. Michael Penix Jr. threw for 256 yards and a touchdown in his return to the lineup.

New Orleans fell to 1-2 with a 35-27 loss to Las Vegas. Tyler Shough threw for 255 yards and a career-high four touchdowns, but the Saints committed four fourth-quarter turnovers.

Atlanta swept the season series last year, including a 19-17 Week 18 win.

NFL Betting Odds, Point Spread, Trends

New Orleans is currently a 2.5-point home favourite, with the Saints -150 on the moneyline. Atlanta is +125, while the total is 47.5 points.

The Falcons enter Monday with the NFL’s top-ranked run defence, allowing only 47.7 rushing yards per game after holding Green Bay to a franchise-record-low 17 last week.

Both teams are 1-2, but Atlanta enters with momentum after producing nearly 500 yards against Green Bay.

NFL Player Odds and Props

Bijan Robinson over 87.5 rushing yards (-115)

Robinson is coming off a 194-yard, two-touchdown performance against Green Bay. New Orleans allowed 57 yards on 13 carries to Travis Etienne Jr. before he left last week’s game with a hamstring injury.

Drake London over 78.5 receiving yards (-115)

London erupted for 194 receiving yards against the Packers. Penix’s return should help an Atlanta passing attack that struggled during the first two weeks.

Tyler Shough over 257 passing yards (-113)

Shough finished with 255 yards against Las Vegas and threw four touchdowns. Atlanta’s dominant run defence could force New Orleans to lean heavily on Shough again.

Chris Olave over 79.5 receiving yards (-115)

Olave caught nine passes for 107 yards against the Raiders. He should remain Shough’s primary receiving option in a game where New Orleans could struggle to run the ball.

Atlanta Falcons

Atlanta finally broke through after opening the season with two losses.

Penix settled down after an early interception against Green Bay, completing 17 of his final 20 passes for 239 yards and a touchdown. Robinson powered the ground game, while London’s big night gave Atlanta two players with 194 yards from scrimmage.

The Falcons have also been outstanding against the run, allowing just 143 rushing yards through three games.

Cornerback A.J. Terrell Jr. remains on injured reserve with a groin injury. Linebacker Divine Deablo and defensive end Samson Ebukam were limited Thursday with hamstring injuries.

New Orleans Saints

New Orleans had a 27-22 fourth-quarter lead against Las Vegas before turnovers changed the game.

Shough lost a fumble and threw an interception on consecutive possessions, while the Saints turned the ball over on all four of their fourth-quarter possessions. Still, his four touchdown passes were a career high, and Olave topped 100 receiving yards.

Injuries are a concern. Linebackers Kaden Elliss and Pete Werner and edge rushers Carl Granderson and Anfernee Jennings all missed Thursday’s practice.

Atlanta’s ability to run the ball and stop the run could keep the Falcons close, but New Orleans gets the slight edge at home in a divisional matchup.
