Falcons vs. Buccaneers Point Spread: NFL Week 15 TNF Odds, Prediction
Two of the coldest teams in the NFL meet up in Tampa Bay on Thursday Night Football as the Buccaneers host the Atlanta Falcons.
Atlanta has lost seven of eight to secure its eighth straight losing season. The Falcons (4-9) turned the ball over three times and made three field goals in a 37-9 loss to the Seattle Seahawks last week. Atlanta was outscored in the second half, 31-3.
The four-time NFC South champion Buccaneers (7-6) have lost four of five, including a disappointing 24-20 setback to the woeful New Orleans Saints in a driving storm last week.
Both teams are missing key offensive pieces. Atlanta wide receiver Drake London has missed three straight games, while Bucs wideout Mike Evans has appeared in just four contests all season.
Tampa Bay is a 4.5-point favourite to win on the NFL odds, with the total set at 44.5.
NFL Point Spread and Betting Analysis
Atlanta is 2-5 straight up on the road but 4-3 against the spread. The Falcons are 5-2 ATS in their last seven games against the Bucs.
Tampa Bay is 3-3 straight up at home but 1-5 against the spread. The team is 0-5 ATS in its last five games.
The Falcons have played to the over in five of the past six games while Tampa Bay has played to the over in five of six home games this season.
Atlanta Falcons
The Falcons last went to the postseason in 2017. A promising 2025/26 campaign has gone south quickly. Quarterback Michael Penix Jr., who threw for 298 yards in the team’s season-opening 23-20 loss against Tampa Bay, is out for the year.
Backup quarterback Kirk Cousins has been uninspiring. It hasn’t helped that London, who has played just nine games this season, is hurting. He leads the team with 60 catches for 810 yards and six touchdowns and has gone for 100 receiving yards or more in five of his last six games.
Special teams need to straighten up. That unit surrendered a kickoff return touchdown that jump-started the Seahawks in the second half last week, while a field goal was blocked by an unmarked Seattle edge man.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers
One stat stands out: 1-for-6. That was Tampa Bay’s success on fourth down against the Saints last week. Coaches like Detroit’s Dan Campbell are praised for their aggression and unwillingness to settle for short field goals, but when that aggression fails, a loss to a 2-10 Saints team at home is always a possibility.
The weather was putrid in Tampa last week, so take Baker Mayfield’s stat line of 14 for 30 for 122 yards with a grain of salt. But with the Carolina Panthers, also 7-6, on the slate two times in the next three weeks, TNF is a must-win.
Evans is due back soon, but the season is also over in a month. The wideouts on the field, including veteran Chris Godwin, need to make more catches than they have been lately.
NFL Prediction: Who Will Win Falcons vs. Buccaneers?
Tampa Bay was sloppy last week, but Atlanta is simply lost right now. With the season on the line and the Panthers on deck, look for Mayfield to rebound and the running game to keep the offence moving. Expect the Bucs to ultimately control this matchup and secure a 28-17 victory.
