Eagles vs. Packers MNF Point Spread: NFL Week 10 Odds, Prediction
The Packers are -2.5 with a total of 44.5 points on the NFL odds.
Monday Night Football Point Spread and Betting Analysis
This writer fully expects both teams back in the NFC playoff field after they were last winter and met in the Wild-Card Round in Philadelphia when the Eagles were the NFC East champions and No. 2 seed, while the Packers were the last team in as the No. 7.
Philly won, 22-10, behind two TD passes from Jalen Hurts and 119 yards rushing from Saquon Barkley. The Eagles would go on to win the conference title and beat Kansas City in the Super Bowl. Green Bay QB Jordan Love had a rough outing in that defeat with three interceptions and no touchdowns.
Needless to say, Monday’s winner will have a crucial head-to-head tiebreaker in terms of potentially hosting a playoff game this winter. Philadelphia is running away with the really weak NFC East and is all but a sure thing there. Green Bay is atop the NFC North but only by a half-game and that’s perhaps the toughest division in the league. Long story short: The Eagles have a much easier rest of the way.
Including four total playoff games, Green Bay leads the all-time series but has dropped the past three. The teams also met in the 2024 regular-season opener for both in Brazil, and the Eagles prevailed 34-29. Both Hurts and Love had two TD passes.
Philadelphia Eagles
The Eagles come out of their bye week surely feeling pretty decent considering they haven’t played all that well for the most part but the NFC East and top seed in the conference are very much there for the taking. This is a franchise that is all-in to repeat and the front office has made three player trades since the team’s Week 8 easy win over the Giants: Cornerbacks Jaire Alexander and Michael Carter and pass-rusher Jaelan Phillips, who has three sacks in nine games this season and had 26 in his five-year career with Miami. Philips reunites Eagles defensive coordinator Vic Fangio, who was the defensive coordinator in Miami in 2023. Phillips had 6.5 sacks in just eight games that season. The Philly defence was a strength last year but ranks 23rd in total defence (336.3 YPG) and 24th in sacks (16).
In addition, former Pro Bowl defensive end Brandon Graham decided to unretire and return for his 16th season to expectedly to debut Monday. There has been talk the Eagles might trade unhappy All-Pro WR AJ Brown by Tuesday’s deadline, but that’s not expected. Maybe in the off-season. Philly is 10-4 ATS in its past 14 games.
Green Bay Packers
Honestly, this past Sunday couldn’t have gone much worse for the Packers. They were 13.5-point favourites at home vs. Carolina but clearly took the Panthers for granted – perhaps looking ahead to this game – and lost 16-13 on a last-second field goal. It was the largest upset in the NFL since the Titans beat the Dolphins in 2023, and Green Bay’s largest upset loss via the spread since 1970. The red zone was the issue. Before Sunday, the Packers had failed to score on only two of their 30 trips inside the 20-yard line. They failed to score twice in five against Carolina and managed just one TD. And to make matters worse, top tight end Tucker Kraft tore his ACL and his season is finished. The 24-year-old was on pace for more than 70 catches and 1,100 yards, which would have been the best marks by a tight end in franchise history. Luke Musgrave now takes over as the No. 1. Musgrave (10 catches, 88 yards this season) was a second-round pick in 2023 and Kraft a third-rounder. Rookie wideout Matthew Golden and left tackle Aaron Brooks also were banged up but neither seriously. Not clear on their status here. The over is 4-1 in the Packers’ past five.
