Cowboys vs. Raiders Point Spread: NFL MNF Week 11 Odds, Prediction

Two very disappointing teams meet to conclude Week 11 around the NFL on Monday night as the Dallas Cowboys visit the Las Vegas Raiders. The Cowboys, who still have outside NFC playoff hopes, are 3-point favourites on the NFL odds with a total of 50.5 points.

NFL Point Spread and Betting Analysis

The Cowboys and Raiders are pretty much always going to be scheduled for multiple primetime games per year regardless if it appears the teams will be any good because both are so popular. The Raiders more from their Los Angeles and Oakland outlaw days.

Both are under first-year head coaches that were moderate surprises as hires: Future Hall of Famer Pete Carroll for Las Vegas and former Dallas offensive coordinator Brian Schottenheimer for the Cowboys. While Carroll won national titles at USC and a Super Bowl with Seattle, it was thought his head coaching days were over after being forced out with the Seahawks before the 2024 season and moving into a senior advisor position for the team. Some already are calling for Carroll to be fired after just one season, but that’s very unlikely considering his resume.

Schottenheimer, meanwhile, has the Dallas offence humming along, but the defence has been one of the NFL’s worst under first-year coordinator Matt Eberflus, the former Chicago Bears head coach. The team was on its bye in Week 10 and there was some conjecture that Eberflus might be fired but that didn’t happen.

The Raiders lead the all-time series 7-6, all in the regular season. Dallas has never played in Las Vegas and should have at least half the crowd in its favour. The Silver & Black won the last meeting, 36-33 in OT in Arlington in November 2021. The Cowboys had won the previous three.

Dallas Cowboys

Dallas comes out of its bye week sitting at 3-5-1 and 11th in the NFC, so the post-season is pretty unlikely and it is priced +1000 to get there and -2000 for No. A loss here and it’s all but over as the schedule gets significantly tougher starting in Week 12. And the team has just one road win.

But the Cowboys think they improved a defence that ranks 31st in total (397.4 YPG) and in scoring (30.8 PPG) by acquiring Pro Bowl defensive tackle Quinnen Williams from the Jets as well as linebacker Logan Wilson from the Bengals ahead of the trade deadline. Both should make their debuts in this one.

Williams, 28, was the third overall pick in the 2019 draft and was selected to the Pro Bowl for the 2021-23 seasons. He also leads all defensive linemen with a 9.5 run stop percentage this season. That is largely where the Cowboys are getting killed. Getting him cost a 2026 second-round pick, a 2027 first-round pick and defensive tackle Mazi Smith, a 2023 first-round pick.

The team also has been dealing with tragedy on that side of the ball as Marshawn Kneeland, 24, died of a self-inflicted gunshot. The defensive end was a 2024 second-round pick. The over is 5-1 in the Cowboys’ past six games.

Las Vegas Raiders

Las Vegas traded away unhappy top wideout Jakobi Meyers to Jacksonville for a couple of draft picks ahead of the Nov. 4 deadline. The last thing a terrible offence needed was one fewer good player.

The Raiders then went out and lost 10-7 in Denver in Thursday in Week 10, their third straight defeat and fourth time scoring in single digits this season (including one blanking). Geno Smith is just not the answer at QB, and he threw another pick and managed only 143 yards passing.

Rookie tailback Ashton Jeanty was the No. 6 pick in this year’s draft and has loads of talent but often has nowhere to go behind a bad O-Line. He did find the end zone but managed 3.2 yards per carry and that has been a theme.

Raiders kicker Daniel Carlson missed a game-tying 48-yard field goal with 4:26 left and that apparently got special teams coordinator Tom McMahon fired the next day. AJ Cole’s punt attempt from deep in the Raiders’ territory was also blocked by Broncos safety JL Skinner. Denver recovered the ball and eventually converted a go-ahead field goal. Las Vegas is 2-8 SU in in its past 10 home games.
