Cardinals vs. Rams Point Spread: NFL Week 7 Odds, Prediction

Point Spread And Betting Analysis

The Cardinals improved to 3-3 straight up with their win over Tampa Bay but they are still only 1-5 against the spread this season. That ATS record includes an 0-3 mark on the road. Meanwhile, Los Angeles is 4-2 straight up and 3-3 against the spread this season. The Rams are currently listed as 3.5-point favorites for this week’s contest in London.

Arizona Cardinals

Peterson certainly provided a spark for an Arizona offense that had struggled to move the football on the ground since losing star running back David Johnson to injury. He brought an important balance to a team that had barely averaged more than 50 rushing yards per game in their first five contests.

Carson Palmer completed 18-of-22 pass attempts for 283 yards and three touchdowns with one interception. He played one of his best games as the defense wasn’t able to key in solely on him. As for the defense, the Cards did let their foot off the gas in the fourth quarter but we saw what they are capable of when the offense doesn’t hang them out to dry. They’ll be put to the test against a high scoring Rams offense.

Los Angeles Rams

The Rams will also lean heavily on their rushing attack with running back Todd Gurley. Gurley is among the league leaders in yards from scrimmage this season and is coming off another strong performance after he rushed for 116 yards in last week’s 27-17 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars. Jared Goff was just 11-of-21 for 124 yards and a touchdown against Jacksonville, but the Jags do have a rugged defense.

The Rams defense recorded five sacks and forced an interception from Blake Bortles last week. They key for them will be to cut off the Cards ground game. Palmer is immobile and the offensive line doesn’t do a good job of protecting him when the game is on his shoulders. However, if the Cards get their running game going, they’ll likely win. The Rams run defense will hope for a better showing after coughing up a 75-yard touchdown run to Leonard Fournette on the Jags first play of the game.
