Cardinals vs. Giants Week 4 Betting Odds, Prediction and Picks: Winston Starts Again for New York
The Arizona Cardinals will make a trip out east to take on the New York Giants on Sunday afternoon in Week 4 of the NFL season.
After beating the Chargers 26-14 in Week 1, the Cardinals enter this contest coming off back-to-back losses. Arizona fell 31-7 to Seattle in Week 2 and 36-30 to the 49ers in Week 3. The Cardinals’ defence struggled mightily in both losses, giving up 437 yards to the 49ers and 381 yards to the Seahawks.
The Giants lost quarterback Jaxson Dart to injury in Week 2, but were able to gut out a 12-7 win over the Titans last week without him in the mix. Dart has been ruled out for the season, which is a crushing blow to New York. Jameis Winston is once again expected to get the starting nod in this Week 4 matchup against Arizona.
The Giants won the most recent meeting between these teams 31-28 in Arizona on September 17, 2023.

NFL Betting Odds, Point Spread, Trends
A closely contested battle is expected between Arizona and New York. Playing on the road, the Cardinals find themselves as 2.5-point favourites with odds of -135 on the moneyline. The Giants have moneyline odds of +114, while the total is listed at 44.5.
The Cardinals also have a veteran QB leading the way, as Jacoby Brissett has completed over 70% of his passes for 652 yards and four touchdowns this season.
His favourite target has unsurprisingly been TE Trey McBride, who is already up to 26 catches for 211 yards and a pair of touchdowns.
Winston has completed 25 of his 49 pass attempts in relief of Dart, which equates to a less-than-ideal completion percentage of 51%. He has yet to throw a touchdown pass through 7+ quarters, and managed just 118 yards against a weak Titans defense last week. But Winston is an experienced veteran who should be able to get back on track as the season moves along.
NFL Player Odds and Props
Trey McBride 60+ receiving yards (-160)
Trey McBride ranks second in the NFL with 26 catches and fourth with 33 targets so far this season. It’s clear that Brissett loves to look his way early and often, and that should continue in this matchup.
McBride’s 211 receiving yards lead the Cardinals by a wide margin, and he’s exceeded the 60-yard mark in two of his three games to start the campaign. His target share alone should put him in a great spot to reach that number again.
Jameis Winston 200+ passing yards (-150)
Jameis Winston is off to a slow start taking over as New York’s QB1. He threw for just 111 yards against Los Angeles and 118 yards last week against Tennessee.
However, things could be different against Arizona. Opposing QBs have had little trouble racking up the yards against the Cardinals, as Arizona has allowed 209, 235, and 297 passing yards in their three games this season. With Winston now in his third game as the Giants’ starter, I expect him to be able to find a rhythm and reach the 200-yard mark for the first time this season.
Arizona Cardinals
The Cardinals controlled their Week 1 matchup against the Chargers, but have been playing from behind ever since. Arizona never led in their 31-7 loss to Seattle or their 36-30 loss to the 49ers. The good news is that New York is vulnerable without Dart, and Arizona’s Jeremiyah Love is coming off the best season of his young NFL career.
Love ran 21 times for 90 yards last week against San Francisco, and appears to have separated himself as Arizona’s top RB option on the depth chart.
New York Giants
Year 1 of the John Harbaugh era is off to a roller coaster start. New York looked great in a 28-20 win over the Cowboys in Week 1, but then fell flat in a 28-6 loss to the Rams in Week 2.
Last week, the Giants barely got by a hapless Titans team 12-7. The Giants are 2-1, but have lost Dart for the rest of the season. Their offensive ceiling is far lower without Dart, which could hinder New York’s season outlook.
