Are the Baltimore Ravens back on track? That’s what fans and bettors alike are asking as the Ravens prepare to host the Chicago Bears in Week 6 action. Baltimore is coming off an impressive 30-17 victory over the host Oakland Raiders to put an end to an ugly two-game losing skid. The Bears are looking to get right themselves after opening the season with defeats in four of their first five games – including a 20-17 loss to Minnesota in the Monday nighter.

Chicago Bears vs. Baltimore Ravens

Point spread: Ravens -6.5 Date: Sunday, October 15, 1 p.m. ET Location:Baltimore, Md.

Point Spread and Betting Analysis

The Ravens are giving away close to a touchdown in this one, and it’s anyone’s guess as to how they’ll fare. But Baltimore has had success lately at M&T Bank Stadium, going 4-1-1 ATS in its last six home games against teams with losing road records. It’s also encouraging that the home team has covered in four of the last five meetings between the teams. Sports Interaction bettors like the home side in this one, choosing 60 percent in favor of the Ravens.

As for the total of 40, almost nobody is convinced that this game is going under; 99 percent of Sports Interaction participants are taking the over. But Chicago has played to the under in four of its five games this season; in fact, the Bears have played just one game this season that finished with a total above 40. The Ravens have played to the over just once in their previous six games versus teams with losing records.

Chicago Bears

The road has not been kind to the Bears so far in 2017; they’ve been outscored 64-21 in two games outside Chicago. Buying an extra field goal only pays a modest -182 on Sports Interaction, but it might not be a bad idea if you believe that the Bears will be overmatched against a Ravens defense that has already forced 12 turnovers through five games. Chicago owns the NFL’s worst turnover differential at minus-9.

Baltimore Ravens

Which Ravens team will show up to play on Sunday: The one that rolled to season-opening wins over Cincinnati and Cleveland, or the version that was subsequently outscored 70-16 in routs by Jacksonville and Pittsburgh? You can almost certainly bank on a superior defensive effort, with the Ravens limiting foes to the fourth-worst third-down conversion percentage in the league (34.4). You’ll get -118 on Sports Interaction for taking the Bears to finish below 17 points.
