The Orlando Magic aim to snap a six-game straight up losing streak on the road when they visit the Golden State Warriors on Monday night at Chase Center. The Magic are coming off a heartbreaking 118-116 loss in Houston, which also marked their eighth straight up defeat in their past nine outings. The Warriors return to action looking to shake off Saturday’s 112-107 loss to the visiting San Antonio Spurs, and have now dropped two of three for the first time this season.

Golden State is a heavy 16-point favourite to win on the NBA odds, with a total of 217.0.

Magic vs. Warriors NBA Betting Odds

The Warriors’ mini-swoon has failed to impact their position on the NBA odds, where they have improved to 16-point home favourites in Monday’s contest after opening as 15.5-point chalk. The total has shifted down from 219 to 217.

Monday night’s matchup marks the first of two scheduled clashes between these clubs this season. The Magic and Warriors split a pair of games last season, with the home team claiming the victory in each of those contests. However, it is Orlando that rewarded sports bettors with back-to-back wins against the spread. The Magic have emerged as a solid bet when battling Golden State on the road. While they have failed to claim an outright road victory over the Warriors since 2012, they sport an impressive 7-3 against the spread record over that stretch. That includes covering as 9-point underdogs in a 111-105 loss in their most recent visit, back in mid-February. And while the Warriors sport one of the most dangerous attacks in the NBA, it has been the UNDER that has regularly paid out in recent head-to-head action, going 4-1 over their past five dates.

Orlando Magic

The Magic open the week in a tight battle with Detroit for last place in the NBA league standings. The club currently sports a dismal 5-19 record, but cannot be faulted for their effort over their past three outings. Orlando came within a missed three-pointer of a win in Houston on Friday. The Magic also showed huge character by overcoming a 15-point halftime deficit in last Wednesday’s 108-103 upset victory over the visiting Denver Nuggets.

Second year point guard Cole Anthony has not missed a beat since coming back from a recent ankle injury that sidelined him for six games. The 2020 first-round pick racked up a game-high 26 points in Friday’s win over the Rockets, and has now averaged 25 points, seven assists, and five rebounds in two outings since his return.

Golden State Warriors

Set to play their third game in four nights, the Warriors will be aiming to put the brakes on their first slump of the season. The club came out flat in Saturday’s loss to the Spurs, scoring just 21 points in the first-quarter, and have now scored 21 or fewer points in the opening frame in two of their past four outings. The current swoon has also coincided in a dip in production from Andrew Wiggins, who has now drained 12 or fewer points in three of his past four outings. However, Steph Curry continues to light up the scoreboard, particularly on home hardwood, where he has averaged 29.3 points and 7.1 assists over his past eight appearances.
