The Lakers are listed as 6.5-point road favourites on the Monday NBA odds. The Nets are +220 underdogs on the NBA moneyline and the total is pegged at 215.5.

Monday night’s matchup is the second and final regular season meeting between these clubs. The Lakers eked out a 102-101 victory when the Nets visited Southern California on January 17 and have claimed the win in four of six head-to-head meetings and in four of their past five visits to Brooklyn.
However, the Lakers have been a shaky bet when facing the Nets, covering in just five of their past 13 dates and are a meagre 1-7-1 against the spread in their past nine versus Brooklyn when favoured by six or more points. However, the Lakers have been a reliable wager during their recent surge, covering the spread seven times during their current 8-1 run.

Things have not gone so well for the Nets during their latest losing streak. In addition, Rui Hachimura did not join the team on this road trip as he battles a knee injury while Jaxson Hayes remains on the shelf, also with a bad knee.
That leaves a bruised and battered Luka Doncic to carry the load for the Lakers, who enter Tuesday’s action deadlocked with Denver in second place in the West, just one game ahead of Memphis and two games up on Houston. However, Doncic is listed as questionable for Monday as he struggles to overcome recent back and knee ailments.
Those injuries could open the door for Austin Reaves, Gabe Vincent, and Dalton Knecht to take on bigger roles. Reaves saw 39 minutes of playing time on Saturday, dropping 16 points, and has averaged and has averaged 18.3 points over his past seven outings.
