The Lakers travel to Sacramento on a high after rolling to a decisive 120-109 win over Minnesota on Sunday night, and have now claimed victory in 12 of their past 17 contests, but have been outclassed while falling to defat and failing to cover in seven of their past eight dates with Sacramento. The Kings are coming off an impressive 129-94 rout of the visiting Milwaukee Bucks but have struggled to produce consistent results at home, where they have tallied consecutive wins just once during a middling 5-6 run.

The Lakers are pegged as slender 2.5-point road favourites on the Wednesday NBA odds. The Kings trail as +110 home underdogs on the NBA moneyline and the total is listed at 238.5.

Lakers vs. Kings NBA Betting Odds

The Kings have dominated the Lakers in recent head-to-head action, claiming victory by an average margin of 10 points in three previous victories this season while averaging 129 points scored per game and scoring at least 130 points in four of their past six meetings. However, with the total getting pegged at 236 or higher in six straight clashes, the OVER has gone just 4-2 during that stretch. However, the Kings have struggled to maintain that torrid scoring pace in recent home dates, scoring 110 or fewer points three times over their past five games. That has contributed to the team’s brutal 5-13 against the spread record over their past 18 games.

The Lakers have moved to within striking distance of sixth place in the Western Conference during their current 12-5 surge, but have been far from a dominant offensive force on the road, averaging just 113 points while losing two of their past three. Los Angeles also currently sports a 12-19 road record, worst among any team currently in the NBA playoff picture. The Lakers have also been a massive disappointment as road favourites, going winless ATS while losing outright in four of their past six.

Los Angeles Lakers

As has been commonplace this season, both Anthony Davis and LeBron James have found their way onto Wednesday’s injury report as they continue to play through nagging ankle and Achilles injuries, respectively. While the duo has not missed any significant time due to their ailments, their supporting cast has been decimated by injuries, with Christian Wood and Cam Reddish emerging as the latest players to visit the clinic. With few options on the bench, the Lakers need continued steady performances from starters Austin Reaves and D’Angelo Russell. Reaves has recorded 18 points per game and averaged 7.2 assists in five outings this month, while Russell dropped a season-high 44 points in Friday’s narrow 123-122 win over Milwaukee.

Sacramento Kings

For the fourth time in five games, De’Aaron Fox led the Kings in points while scoring 29 in Tuesday’s rout of the Bucks. Fox has now averaged 31 points over his past four outings including a 44-point performance in last week’s 130-120 road win over the Lakers, and offers excellent value as a -105 bet on the NBA player props to score OVER 39.5 points+assists+rebounds on Wednesday night. Big man Domantas Sabonis has continued to take care of business under the bucket, averaging 15.1 boards per game while cracking double digits in each of his past 21 appearances.
