The Lakers had started the stretch 3-0 before a blowout loss to Milwaukee on Thursday. Still, a 3-1 week has put the Lakers back into third in the Western Conference as they continue to chug along without LeBron James, who is undergoing pre-game workouts and is now listed as questionable for Saturday.

Chicago’s won six of their last eight to all but solidify a spot in the Eastern Conference play-in. And the way Chicago is scoring right now, they are looking like a team that belongs in the post-season. And one way to test this is going up against a star-studded Lakers squad.

Tip-off at Crypto.com Arena gets going at 10:30 p.m. EDT with the Lakers a 9.5-point favourite on home court and the total at 233.5 on the NBA odds.

Bulls vs. Lakers NBA Betting Odds

Thursday’s home loss dropped L.A.’s home record to 28-8 on the year, still good for the third-most home wins in the NBA this season. It also snapped a nine-game win streak for the Lakers at home. Chicago’s in the middle of a six-game road trip in which they are 2-2 thus far. Playing .500 basketball is if anything a compliment for the 30-40 Bulls, but as of late they’ve been playing above that pace with a 6-4 record in the month of March. Chicago’s scored a minimum of 110 points in all 10 games, and are 5-1 ATS in their last six road outings.

Head-to-head, six straight Bulls–Lakers contests have finished over the total. Saturday’s the first of two meetings this season between these clubs, with the other going down on Thursday at Chicago. The last Chicago–L.A. contest was a 141-132 shootout that ended in regulation.

Chicago Bulls

Coby White is having a month to remember. The 25-year-old is averaging almost 30 points a game in March and is coming off a 35-point night in Thursday at Sacramento. White caught absolute fire in the win, posting 31 of his 35 points in the second half. Nikola Vucevic and Kevin Huerter also scored 24 and 25 points respectively in Thursday’s win, as this trio continues to lead Chicago offensively.

Since coming over via trade last month, Huerter has season has offensive production rise by five points per game. Huerter’s 25 on Thursday was a high in points with Chicago and he now has double digits in all but one game this month. Chicago’s team total Saturday is at 110.5 points.

Los Angeles Lakers

The Lakers didn’t stand much of a chance on Thursday as all of Luka Doncic, Austin Reaves, Rui Hachimura, Dorian Finney-Smith, Jarred Vanderbilt, and LeBron James all sat out with injuries. Doncic, Reaves, and Vanderbilt are probably to play on Saturday and James, Hachimura, and Finney-Smith are questionable.

Even if the questionable players can’t go, L.A. should be in good shape as long as Luka is back. Doncic led the Lakers to a huge 120-108 victory on Wednesday, meaning he was likely held out of Thursday’s loss given it being a back-to-back. A positive from the 118-89 loss to Milwaukee on Thursday? Bronny James played 30 minutes off the bench and finished with career-high 17 points, going seven for 10 from the field.
