The CFL’s Battle of Ontario rivalry gets rekindled on Saturday night. The Toronto Argonauts will make the short drive down the QEW to face the Hamilton Tiger-Cats in CFL Week 7 betting action at Hamilton Stadium.

The Argos arrive in Steeltown riding a two-game losing streak after getting outclassed in last week’s 30-21 loss in Winnipeg.

The Ti-Cats look to spark their offence in the wake of their second straight defeat, a crushing 38-7 loss in Saskatchewan that comes on the heels of quarterback Bo Levi Mitchell’s ankle injury.

The Argonauts lead the way as 5.5-point favourites on the CFL Week 7 odds. The Tiger-Cats trail as lengthy +200 underdogs on the CFL moneyline and the total is listed at 55.5.

CFL Odds and Betting

The Ti-Cats aim to build on their recent domination of the rival Boatmen, whom they have topped in five of six meetings over the past two seasons, capped by a lopsided 47-29 win in Toronto last October.

The Tabbies have regularly run up the score when facing the Argonauts, averaging 37 points per game during their current 5-1-0 head-to-head run. In addition to bolstering a 5-1 ATS record, the Ti-Cats’ offensive outbursts have helped to fuel a steady five-game run for the OVER in totals betting.

However, with Mitchell on the shelf, the Tiger-Cats have struggled to score during their current swoon, averaging just 10 points per game. In addition, the loss of Mitchell and last week’s feeble performance have decimated Hamilton’s position on the Grey Cup odds, where they now lag as a distant +2000 bet.

The Argos have struggled to contain opposing offences during their current two-game slide, and have compiled a dismal 1-3 SU and ATS record on the road, but they remain in striking distance of the favourites on the Grey Cup futures as a +700 bet.

Hamilton Tiger-Cats

After last weekend’s debacle in Saskatchewan, the Ti-Cats will be making yet another change under centre, with Tre Ford expected to get the call. Ford takes over for Jake Dolegala, who mustered just 122 yards and no scores while completing 17 of 30 pass attempts versus the Roughriders.

However, it remains to be seen whether Ford will do any better in his first start since early last season with the Edmonton Elks. Ford saw limited action last week, going 5-for-6 for 47 yards, and will need to produce immediate results to maintain the confidence of head coach Scott Milanovich, and stay a step ahead of the growing stable of veteran pivots vying to emerge as the squad’s interim starter.

Toronto Argonauts

The Argonauts’ recent defensive struggles have been further complicated by the loss of Canadian defensive lineman Jeremiah Ojo, who was placed on the six-game injured list with a bicep injury. The 2025 first-round pick was enjoying a solid start to the campaign, recording five defensive tackles, four special-teams tackles and one sack through Toronto’s first five games.

However, Ojo’s absence should be overshadowed on Saturday by a rudderless Hamilton attack looking for leadership in the wake of Mitchell’s injury.

While defence is a concern in Toronto, the offence is not. Quarterback Chad Kelly is coming off a 320-yard, two-touchdown performance while avoid a pick in last week’s loss to Winnipeg, and has now racked up 1,804 passing yards and 14 TD passes, both league highs, through five games.
