RedBlacks vs. Lions Prediction: CFL Week 15 Point Spread, Odds
The Lions are -9.5 with a total of 55.5 points on the CFL odds.
CFL Odds and Betting
Neither of these clubs would make the CFL playoffs as things stand entering Week 15. The B.C. Lions (5-7) are tied for last in the West Division with Edmonton but only a game behind third-place Winnipeg for the final spot. Ottawa (4-8) and Toronto are tied for last in the East Division, but the Argos currently win the tiebreaker for third. It’s very clear that the West Division is significantly better overall in 2025. Every game in Week 15 is East vs. West as we kick off the final third of the regular season.
The Lions haven’t lost at home in this series since October 2017. Last year, they rolled to a 38-12 victory in the inaugural Touchdown Pacific game from Victoria. Ottawa entered that on a six-game unbeaten streak and B.C. on a five-game skid. It was over at the half with the Lions up 31-6. Nathan Rourke finished with 325 yards passing and three TD throws. Dru Brown threw for 206 yards and a TD for RedBlacks. But he was sacked four times and Ottawa had just 44 yards rushing.
This year’s series is set up the same as 2024: They played their first matchup in Ottawa and then turned around and played again the next week at B.C. with each winning at home.
B.C. is 5-1 ATS in the past six meetings at home. The over is 6-1 in the past seven regardless of location.
Ottawa RedBlacks
The RedBlacks were 6-point home dogs last Friday (total was 53) when they snapped a two-game skid with a wild 34-33 victory over B.C., rallying from down 10 at the half and eight entering the fourth.
QB Dustin Crum struggled in the first half but was terrific in the second. He hit Eugene Lewis for a 10-yard touchdown pass in the final seconds to tie and Lewis Ward’s convert completed the comeback. Crum finished with 301 yards passing and that TD while rushing for two second-half scores. Via Pro Football Focus, Crum’s passing grade of 82.0 was No. 2 in the league last week.
“I think you’re seeing the continued growth of Dusty,” said Ottawa head coach Bob Dyce after the win.
Crum is expected to remain the starter with Dru Brown unlikely to return from an injury suffered in Week 11.
Kalil Pimpleton was Crum’s top target last week with catches for 95 yards, including a 52-yard reception which set up Lewis’ winning score. Fellow wideout Keelan White is in question this week with an ankle injury.
The Redblacks are 4-1 ATS in their past five. The over is 6-2 in their past eight away.
BC Lions
Always tough to lose a game when leading nearly all of regulation, which the Lions did against Ottawa last week in losing their second straight game SU & ATS – albeit both away. Nathan Rourke threw for 284 yards and a TD but two picks in the 34-33 loss. He’s now third all-time in passing yards by Canadian quarterbacks, passing Don Getty (8,950 yards).
Wideout Justin McInnis dominated with seven catches for 148 yards and a score. Seven McGee, who had a punt return score called back against Edmonton earlier this year, scored on a 93-yard romp in the third quarter, which gave B.C. a 17-point lead.
But the Lions managed only two field goals in the fourth quarter, with Sean Whyte missing his final try of the night from 45 yards out after making his first four. That would set up the winning Ottawa touchdown.
Cam Stone started at cornerback for the Lions after Garry Peters was scratched late due to a knee injury.
B.C. leads the CFL in total offence (425.8 YPG) and passing offence (315.7 YPG) and also leads in passing defence (250.9 YPG). But the rush defence (107.6 YPG) has been an issue at times.
The Lions are 2-4 SU & ATS in their past six overall. Doesn’t appear any major injury concerns for the rematch as of publication.
