2024 CFL Odds: BC Lions favoured to win the Grey Cup
The defending Grey Cup champion Montreal Alouettes have spent most of the season as favourites to repeat, but those odds have shifted following their first loss of the year. The 5-1 BC Lions are the new favourites to win in November, with Montreal and Toronto close behind.
Let’s take a look at the shifting Grey Cup line ahead of Week 7.

2024 Grey Cup odds
BC Lions (+210)
With Vancouver hosting this year’s Grey Cup, the BC Lions are aiming to be the first champions to win on home field since the 2013 Saskatchewan Roughriders.
BC’s passing attack has been the difference through six weeks. Vernon Adams Jr. leads the CFL in passing yards (2,203) and passing TDs (12), while Justin McInnis (725 yards) and Alexander Hollins (656) are first and second in receiving yards.
Montreal Alouettes (+250)
The Alouettes were heavy underdogs throughout last year’s playoffs, but no one is underestimating them in 2024. They started the year with five straight wins and much of last year’s championship core remains intact.
Just like last year, defence is key for Montreal. The Als rank first in total yards allowed per game (332.3), passing yards allowed (223.3), opponent QBR (80.3) and points allowed (22.7). Tyrice Beverette leads the CFL in total tackles (38) and forced fumbles (three), while Mustafa Johnson is tied for first in sacks (four).
Toronto Argonauts (+500)
The Toronto Argonauts are in a weird spot with the suspension of reigning Most Outstanding Player Chad Kelly, but they’ve managed to hold their head above water with a 3-2 record, including last week’s 37-18 road victory against Montreal.
A lot of credit has to go to head coach Ryan Dinwiddie. Last year’s CFL Coach of the Year has found a way to win regardless of injuries or suspensions. In his first three seasons in charge of the Argos, Dinwiddie posted an elite .720 win percentage to reach the East Final all three years and win the Grey Cup in 2022.
Dark horse candidates
Saskatchewan Roughriders (+550)
Saskatchewan was lights out on their season-opening four-game win streak, but they were humbled in last week’s 35-20 loss in BC. The loss of quarterback Trevor Harris to a left MCL sprain has hurt the Riders over the last two games, but he’s on track to return somewhere around Week 12. Saskatchewan just needs to hold on until Harris is back.
Winnipeg Blue Bombers (+825)
It’s been a shockingly bad start to the season for the Winnipeg Blue Bombers, but they’ve looked more like their championship pedigree over the last couple of weeks. After starting the season 0-4, the Bombers have picked up two straight wins. There’s still a question mark, however, surrounding the play of Zach Collaros, who leads the CFL with six interceptions while throwing just two TD passes.
