Cowboys vs. Bills Point Spread: NFL Week 15 Odds, Prediction

It’s a heavyweight tilt on Sunday in Buffalo as the Bills prepare to host the Dallas Cowboys. The Cowboys had a statement win over Philadelphia last week, blowing out the Eagles 33-13 for their fifth straight victory. The Bills made some noise of their own, taking out Kansas City 20-17 on the road.

Buffalo is a two-point favourite to win on the NFL odds, with the total set at 50.5.

NFL Point Spread and Betting Analysis

The Cowboys’ offence has dominated on their current 5-0 straight up run, averaging 40.2 points per game over that stretch. One red flag, however, is their play on the road. Dallas is 7-0 at home this season compared to just 3-3 on the road. Even more concerning is the fact those three road wins came against the Panthers, Chargers and Giants, who are all well out of playoff contention.

The Bills are keeping their playoff hopes alive with wins in three of their last four home dates, but they’re only 2-7 against the spread in their last nine. Buffalo has won nine of their last 10 games against NFC opponents, but keep in mind they only covered in four of those games.

Dallas Cowboys

Last week’s win over the Eagles was huge for Dallas both on the scoreboard and in the standings. They now have an identical 10-3 record with Philadelphia and hold top spot in the NFC East with the tiebreaker. Tossing multiple touchdown passes in seven straight outings, quarterback Dak Prescott has established himself as the favourite to win MVP. Prescott threw for 271 yards and two TDs last week to give him a league-high 28 TD passes on the season with just six interceptions.

Receiver CeeDee Lamb is also having a career-year and he sits third in the NFL with 1,253 receiving yards. He is fourth in receiving TDs with eight. Lamb has proven to be Prescott’s favourite target and he enters Week 15 with seven receiving TDs over his last seven games while hitting 100 receiving yards five times in his last eight games.

Buffalo Bills

Clinching a playoff spot is still realistic for Buffalo, but any chance of catching Miami for the division is likely gone. Quarterback Josh Allen got the job done last week, throwing for 233 yards, one touchdown and one interception, but he’ll need to be better this week to keep pace with Dallas’ offence. Turnovers are a major issues for Allen, who has thrown a league-high 14 interceptions this season. In fact, Allen has thrown at least one pick in nine straight games.

The Bills’ offence is averaging just 23.2 points per game over their last nine contests, so the defence will be key in Week 15. They have a blueprint for success as the duo of defensive tackle Ed Oliver and defensive end Greg Rousseau was effective in shutting down Patrick Mahomes last week. Oliver and Rousseau combined for five total tackles and one sack on the reigning league MVP.
