Wednesday’s WNBA slate will feature a total of three games, one of which will see the Toronto Tempo take on the Dallas Wings.

This game between the Tempo and the Wings is scheduled for Wednesday, August 12, and has an expected tip-off time of 8 p.m. ET. The game will be played at the College Park Center in Arlington, Texas and will be broadcast on TSN.

My article will preview this game between the Tempo and the Wings by giving you a brief overview of the current betting odds, a closer look at both teams, as well as my best bet for the game.

Toronto Tempo vs. Dallas Wings WNBA Odds and Betting Trends

A quick look at the betting odds, and it is clear that the Wings are the heavy favourite. As it stands, the Wings are a -430 moneyline favourite on the WNBA odds, while Toronto is coming back as a massive +320 moneyline underdog.

In terms of the point spread, the Wings are -9.5 and have odds of -110, while the Tempo are +9.5 and also carry odds of -110.

The total for this game has been set at 184.5. You can bet on over 184.5 at odds of -105, while betting on under 184.5 has odds of -115.

Some trends to consider show that the Tempo are 1-9 straight up over their last 10 games, while the Wings are 3-7 against the spread over their last 10 games.

Toronto Tempo

The Tempo enter this game with a record of 10-22 and are currently in sixth place in the WNBA’s Eastern Conference and in 13th place in the overall league standings. Toronto is coming off a loss to the Atlanta Dream. Unfortunately for the Tempo, this was their ninth defeat in a row.

That said, Toronto has been competitive in a handful of these games, though they are just 3-6 against the spread over their nine-game losing streak.

The main concern for the Tempo in this game is that Brittney Sykes (20.1 points per game) is likely going to be ruled out for this matchup with a foot injury.

Dallas Wings

The Wings enter this game with a record of 19-14 and are currently in fourth place in the WNBA’s Western Conference and in eighth place in the overall league standings. The Wings are coming off a loss against the Minnesota Lynx in their most recent game and are just 4-6 straight up over their last 10 games.

What is more concerning for Dallas is their current injuries. The Wings will likely be without Jessica Shepard in this game, who averages 14.2 points per game and 11.4 rebounds per game. Dallas will also likely be without Azzi Fudd, who averages 13.1 points per game.

WNBA Prediction: Who Will Win Toronto Tempo vs. Dallas Wings?

Dallas may be a double-digit favourite in this game, but given their injuries, Toronto looks to be the best betting option. These two teams have met twice this season, with the Wings winning both games. The first game saw Dallas win by a score of 89-76, and the second game saw Dallas win by a score of 108-95.

The main difference for this game is that the Wings are likely to be missing Shepard and Fudd, who both made a huge impact in the previous two meetings.

On top of that, the Wings have not recently been good against the spread; therefore, backing the Toronto Tempo +9.5 (-110) will be my best bet, but I still like Dallas to win 90-84.
