Seattle Storm vs. Toronto Tempo Prediction: WNBA Betting Odds

The Storm, which lost its top five scorers from last season to free agency, defeated the Sun on Sunday, 89-82. Lexie Brown led the team off the bench with 17 points. Rookie Flau’jae Johnson had 16 points and six rebounds and repeatedly drove inside against veteran Brittney Griner.

The Tempo, playing in front of 19,335 fans, the largest crowd for any inaugural team’s season opener in WNBA history, were just edged out by the Washington Mystics on Friday night, 68-65. Veteran Marina Mabrey led all scorers with 27 points to go along with seven rebounds.

Seattle Storm vs. Toronto Tempo WNBA Odds and Betting Trends

The host Tempo are listed as a 3.5-point favourite tonight with a -170 moneyline. Seattle is at +145 on the WNBA betting odds.

The over/under for this contest is 167.5. Seattle has surpassed that total in each of its first two contests, while the Tempo came in well under that number in their meeting with the Mystics.

Seattle Storm

Nneka Ogwumike, Gabby Williams, Skylar Diggins, Erica Wheeler, Brittney Sykes. All gone, as the Storm attempt another major rebuild after Sue Bird and Breanna Stewart departed three years ago. That’s 67.5 points gone from a playoff team that pushed the eventual WNBA champion Las Vegas Aces to three games in the first round.

Enter Johnson, who is tied with Jade Melbourne for the team lead in scoring with 14 points per game. Melbourne had 15 points and 6 assists against the Sun and leads the team with 4.5 assists per game.

Dominique Malonga came on strong late in her rookie season and opened this year with 21 points and 8 rebounds in a 91-80 setback to the Golden State Valkyries. Her continued development is key, with Ezi Magbegor (right foot injury) out until at least June. Katie Lou Samuelson is out indefinitely while recovering from a torn right ACL.

Awa Fam, a Spanish international and the No. 3 overall pick in this year’s draft, is still in Spain. She averaged 7 points and 4.8 rebounds with Valencia, and the Storm would love to begin her WNBA development as soon as possible.

Toronto Tempo

Mabrey averaged 14.4 points and 4 assists last season, and she showed immediately that she will be the Tempo’s leader in this inaugural season.

Sykes, who averaged 14.1 points and 4 assists while splitting last season between Washington and Seattle, had 14 points against Washington.

Nyara Sabally, a four-year veteran who came over from the New York Liberty, had eight points and six rebounds on Friday. The 6-foot-5 center was selected fourth overall in the 2026 WNBA expansion draft after averaging 5.4 points and 4.5 rebounds in 17 games with the Liberty last year.

Veteran Tami Fagbenle, who had a career year averaging 7.4 points and 4.9 rebounds with Golden State last season, is questionable tonight with a sore shoulder.

WNBA Prediction: Who will win Storm vs. Tempo?

It should be another raucous crowd in Toronto tonight, and the home fans should be justly rewarded this time around.

Look for Mabrey and Sykes to have strong performances and lead the Tempo to the first win in franchise history with a 75-71 victory over Seattle.
