L.A. Sparks vs. Seattle Storm Prediction: WNBA Betting Odds

Despite scoring 37 points in Saturday’s 92-85 loss to the Los Angeles Sparks, Jewell Loyd has yet to lead the Seattle Storm to a win this season. The Sparks and the Storm will tip off at 10:00 PM ET.

Sparks vs. Storm Betting Odds

The Los Angeles Sparks are 3-2 on the season so far, and the Seattle Storm are 0-4.

Los Angeles Sparks

It was the Nneka Ogwumike show this past weekend, as she led her team to a victory with 27 points and 14 rebounds, playing 33 minutes total.

Ogwumike got plenty of help from Layshia Clarendon, who had 16 points, six assists and three steals. Chiney Ogwumike added 15 points and Lexie Brown scored 14, and Jordin Canada had nine points, seven assists and four steals.

The Sparks are hoping to improve on their struggled-through season last year, as they finished 13-23 overall, averaging 79.4 points per game while allowing 86.6 ppg.

Seattle Storm

The Storm are clearly missing their retired star player, Sue Bird, as well as Breanna Stewart (who left for the New York Liberty) this season, as the team is 0-4, which is their worst start since 2000. Last year the Storm went 13-5 at home. Stewart had been averaging 21.8 points, 7.6 rebounds and 2.9 assists per game.

Seattle has to be excited about the potential of Jewell Loyd, however. Loyd converted 13 of 26 during Saturday’s game, and got 6 rebounds. Loyd recorded 37 points in her 39 mins on the court and totalled 6 assists for the matchup.

The Storm hit 13 3-pointers but countered that with 16 turnovers, which resulted in 17 points for Los Angeles.
