The WNBA returns from its All-Star break on Tuesday with a five-game slate, one of which will feature a matchup between the Indiana Fever and the Seattle Storm.

This game between the Fever and the Storm is scheduled for Tuesday, July 28, and has an expected tip-off time of 9:30 p.m. ET. The game will be played at the Climate Pledge Arena in Seattle, Washington, and will be broadcast on ESPN.

My article will preview this matchup between the Fever and the Storm by providing you with my best bet for the game. Additionally, I will include an overview of the current betting odds, as well as a closer look at both the Fever and the Storm.

Indiana Fever vs. Seattle Storm WNBA Odds and Betting Trends

A quick look at the current betting odds, and it is clear that Indiana is the overwhelming betting favourite. As it stands, the Fever are sitting as a -325 betting favourite on the moneyline. This means that the Storm are coming back as a +250 underdog.

In terms of the spread, the Fever are -7.5 and have odds of -114, while the Storm are +7.5 and carry odds of -106.

The total has been set at 184.5 points. You can bet on over 184.5 points at odds of -110 and under 184.5 points also at odds of -110. 

Some trends to consider show that the Fever are 4-2 ATS in their last six games against the Storm, the over is 6-1 in the Fever’s last seven games, and the over is 4-1 in the Storm’s last five games.

Indiana Fever

Indiana enters this game with a record of 17-10 and is currently in first place in the WNBA’s Eastern Conference. Leading up to the All-Star break, the Fever won three games in a row and are 7-3 SU over their last 10 games. 

One thing to note about the Fever is their ability to score. Indiana is averaging 95.5 points per game, which is the top-scoring offence in the league. 

Most notably, the Fever are led by Kelsey Mitchell, who continues her MVP-caliber season, as she is averaging 23.3 points per game overall and 23.5 points per game against the Storm this season.

Seattle Storm

Seattle enters this game with a record of 6-23. The Storm have been one of the worst teams in the league all season, which is why they are in last place in the WNBA’s Western Conference. 

To further show their struggles, the Storm lost six games in a row in the lead-up to the All-Star break, and they are 2-8 SU over their last 10 games. 

Given their record, it is no surprise that the Storm are ranked near the bottom in terms of their scoring offence. Seattle is averaging 81.9 points per game, which is tied for 12th in the WNBA. 

WNBA Prediction: Who Will Win Indiana Fever vs. Seattle Storm?

Given that the Fever are the heavy favourite and that they have beaten the Storm by an average of 7.0 points across the two meetings this season, I will be looking at a player prop for my best bet.

This will be for Kelsey Mitchell, from the Indiana Fever, to score over 21.5 points. As mentioned, Mitchell is having an excellent season for the Fever, but to expand on that, she is averaging 27.3 points in July. Further, Mitchell has scored at least 22 points in 10 of her last 11 games, dating back to late June. 

Given that Mitchell seemingly scores at least 22 points in almost every game, we’re getting great value against that number at -114 odds. I also predict the Indiana Fever to beat the Seattle Storm by a score of 95-88.
