The WNBA’s best offence and worst defence match up for the third time this season, and Indiana is hoping for a similar result. The Fever look to complete a season sweep when they travel to face the Los Angeles Sparks tonight at 10:00 PM ET.

Indiana has won two straight without Caitlin Clark, who has been sidelined with back issues. That includes an 84-68 victory over Las Vegas on Sunday, where the Fever held the Aces to their lowest-scoring game of the season.

Los Angeles has lost three straight without leading scorer Kelsey Plum, and five of six overall. Dearica Hamby had 17 points, and Nneka Ogwumike added 14 points and 11 rebounds, but the Sparks shot just 34% (22-65) from the field and 17% (5-29) from beyond the arc in an 82-64 setback to the lowly Seattle Storm on Monday.

Indiana Fever vs. Los Angeles Sparks WNBA Odds and Betting Trends

Indiana is a 5.5-point road favourite tonight and is -245 on the money line. The Sparks are at +200 on the WNBA odds.

The Over/Under for this contest is 185.5. The Fever have played to the Over in five of seven overall, but to the Under in four of their past five road contests. Los Angeles has played to the Over in four of its last five.

Indiana Fever

Kelsey Mitchell had 27 points, Aliyah Boston added 18 points and 10 rebounds for her sixth double-double, and Lexie Hull added 10 points as the Fever took advantage of an A’ja Wilson-less Aces squad to pick up the win in the first game of a four-game road trip on Sunday.

Mitchell continues to be the reliable foundation for Indiana while Clark goes through another bout of injuries. She is second in the league at 21.9 points per game, just ahead of Clark. She always gets lost in the hype, but Indiana would be much further down the standings without her.

The Fever are fifth in the WNBA at 12-8, although they are just 2-4-1 against the spread in their last seven road games.

Indiana knocked off Los Angeles on the road by nine early in the season, then pounced on them 11 days ago at home, 111-87, without Clark.

Los Angeles Sparks

Unfortunately, the Sparks don’t have the kind of surrounding talent to accommodate Plum’s injury the way Indiana can do without Clark. Plum would be second in the league in scoring at 23.9 points per game, but she has only played in 12 games.

Plum’s impact is obvious. The Sparks are 7-5 with her in the lineup, 1-6 without. And it’s not just the scoring the team misses. Plum’s 6.4 assists lead the team as well. Ogwumike (16.1 ppg, 8.7 REB) and Hamby (14.3 ppg, 7.7 REB) just aren’t enough by themselves.

Los Angeles is just 3-7 straight up and 2-8 against the spread at home. They are 1-5 straight up and ATS in their last six overall. They will continue without Plum, who has an injury in her left leg and is expected to miss at least another 3-4 weeks.

Valuable reserve forward Cameron Brink, who is averaging 9.2 points and 4.4 rebounds in 14 games, has missed five in a row with a left ankle injury. She is out tonight as well.

WNBA Prediction: Who will win Fever vs. Sparks?

The Fever can beat Los Angeles with and without Clark, while the Sparks have lost two games this season to Indiana with and without Plum.

Add to that Los Angeles’ miserable home mark, and it appears Mitchell, Boston, and company are primed for the season sweep. Take Indiana to win handily, 93-78.
