Team Slovakia
Coached by Stefan Tarkovic, Slovakia is ranked No. 31 the world. The team had four wins, three draws and one loss to finish third in Group E qualifying behind Croatia and Wales. The Slovaks landed a spot in Euro 2020 thanks to a 2-1 win over Northern Ireland in extra time qualifying playoffs. Michal Duris scored the eventual game-winner in the 110th minute.
It’s the second straight trip to the European Championship and all-time for Slovakia since the split of Czechoslovakia. Five years ago, the Slovaks reached the Round of 16 but were routed by Germany 3-0. Veteran midfielder and captain Marek Hamsik (+620 for anytime goal) is a player to watch.
