Returning home for the first time since clinching their first Premier League title in three decades, Liverpool will face a relegation-threatened Aston Villa. Needing 15-points in their last six games to break the Premier League points record, Jurgen Klopp has been adamant his team will not slow down. The recently crowned champions come into Sunday’s match as -313 favourites, while Villa sits at +667 underdogs and a draw is +418. Start time will be 11:30 a.m. ET.

The Reds are coming off a rough 4-0 loss to Manchester City on Thursday, their first game since clinching the Premier League title. Don’t expect the champagne hangover to last against Villa, though, as Liverpool is not known to settle for embarrassing losses and will likely come at Villa ferociously.

Even before Thursday’s City game, Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp seems to have heard the whispers coming from around the league saying the Reds will be on cruise control for the rest of the season as they have already clinched the Premier League title. Needing 15-points in their final six games, it is not a stretch to say the Reds could join City as only the second team to ever break 100-points in a season.

At just 27-points this season, Villa is technically 18^th in the 20-team Premier League, but Bournemouth is only slotted below them because of goal-differential. Regardless of Bournemouth leapfrogging them or not, every point is crucial if Villa wants to stave off relegation for next season. Norwich City essentially has last place locked up, but Villa, Bournemouth, Watford and West Ham are all within three points of each other and Villa is on the wrong side, looking in.

Villa will likely look back to their last match against Liverpool, which saw them crush the league champions 5-0 in the Carbao Cup. Although the Reds rested players and fielded a young squad in that game, Villa would be smart to take any positives they can as they have no wins in their last eight Premier League games and have only taken two-points in the four games since the season restart.
