English Premier League Odds, Prediction: Chelsea vs. Wolves
The 2019-20 English Premier League season comes to a close on Sunday when all of the teams are in action on the final day. The title has already been handed out to Liverpool, who easily cruised to the top of the table this year, so that’s not a factor for Sunday’s action. However, there is still a lot of jockeying for position.
Chelsea is currently in fourth place with 63 points but they can move in plenty of directions. They can get as high as third if they win and Manchester United falters, or they could slip as low as fifth if they don’t win and Leicester City does. As for Wolves, they’re in sixth-place and while they can’t go higher, they can fall to seventh if they lose and Tottenham collects points.

Chelsea Odds and News
Chelsea is fresh off a 5-3 beat down at the hands of Liverpool, which was a bit disappointing but mostly expected. Let’s face it: Liverpool hasn’t lost to many teams this season. The hope was that Chelsea would show well since Liverpool had nothing to play for, but that wasn’t the case. Liverpool rocked them with five tallies – the most they’ve scored in a game since last December.
Chelsea shouldn’t be too discouraged here as they had mostly been playing well before that. They beat Manchester United and Norwich before that, and had won four of five entering the contest. Chelsea has been fairly reliable at home this season as they are 10-3-5 at home while conceding just 16 markers. That’s in stark contrast to their road production where they are 9-3-7 on the road while having given up 38 goals.
Wolverhampton Wanderers News and Odds
Wolves have been a tough team to handicap of late. They’re coming off a 2-0 win over Crystal Palace and are 5-1-2 in their last eight contests. However, they have struggled against decent competition, drawing Burnley and losing to Sheffield United and Arsenal. Those are all teams in the Top 10 of the table, so how can we expect them to go on the road and get the job done at Chelsea?
Road games have been kind to Wolverhampton this season as they are 7-7-4 in away games compared to 8-7-4 at home. They have the ninth-best home record compared to the fifth-best on the road. This feels like a tough spot to predict a Wolves win but the under might make a lot of sense. They’ve only conceded 19 away goals – tied for the second-fewest in the EPL – and nine of their last 10 games have seen two goals or less. The lone miss was a three-goal result against Everton on July 12th. We should probably expect another low-scoring affair here.
