Curacao

Curacao’s tournament-opening match was far from an offensive clinic. La Familia Azul and El Salvador combined to generate just four total shots on target while playing to a scoreless draw, which marks a big change after the side racked up nine total goals in recent wins over Haiti and St. Lucia. However, the squad does feature some offensive threats, most notably Gervane Kastaneer. The veteran forward recorded a natural hat trick in Curacao’s 4-0 rout of St. Lucia two weeks ago and followed up by opening the scoring in the side’s 5-1 victory over Haiti.

Canada

It took Canada most of the first half to heat up in their group stage opener versus Honduras with midfielder Niko Sigur opening the scoring in the 27th minute before Tani Oluwaseyi gave the squad a 2-0 cushion just moments before the half. However, Canada exploded after the break with four markers. Tajon Buchanan provided the spark with a pair of goals early in the second and has not found the mark three times in three matches. While Jonathan David failed to score, he did set up the first goal of the match and leads the way as a -110 bet on the Gold Cup player props to score anytime on Saturday and record his fourth goal in six caps this year.
