EPL Soccer Picks, Predictions and Best Bets: Chelsea looking to build off dominating victory
Matchday 3 of the UEFA Champions League concludes with Arsenal, Chelsea, Tottenham, Manchester City and Liverpool returning to England to carry on this year’s hectic Premier League warfare. Arsenal holds first-place, Man City is on the climb, and Liverpool is struggling as Week 8 of the EPL takes off once again.
Bournemouth and Antoine Semenyo have had a most impressive season so far (tied for third), while Chelsea looks to barge their way into the top three spots – which could very well happen after this weekend’s set of matches. Excitement grows, and the results are up in the air, so be sure to review my best bet picks for this week below.

EPL Arsenal vs. Crystal Palace best bet: Arsenal ML (-220)
While Liverpool has faltered over the last three weeks, Arsenal continues to thrive. This week, the Gunners take on Crystal Palace at home at Emirates Stadium for the first time since a 2-2 draw in April 2025. While the Eagles are having a spectacular season so far (eighth place), Arsenal have not lost to Palace since April 2022 in a 3-0 result.
Returning from a crushing 4-0 win over Atletico Madrid in the Champions League, Arsenal hope to continue the momentum as they lead the Premier League with the highest goal differential of 12. Leondro Trossard (+275 anytime goalscorer) led the way with the sole goal in the Gunners’ previous 1-0 win over Fulham on October 18, while Viktor Gyokeres (three goals this season) enters the match as the highest probable anytime goalscorer at +135 – followed by Buyayo Saka at +220.
Crystal Palace is in for one heck of a game as a heavy underdog (+600) after drawing 3-3 to 3rd place Bournemouth at home on October 18. Their 2-1 loss to Everton on Oct. 5 deterred their progress, but they continue to net goals with 12 this season – five of them from Jean-Phillippe Mateta (+310). Overall, the Arsenal moneyline at -220 is a safe choice because the Gunners are in form at home, so you can bet on them not dropping any points today.
EPL Chelsea vs. Sunderland best bet: Chelsea -1.5 (+110)
Sunderland head to Stamford Bridge to take on Chelsea for the first time in eight years, with their last meeting ending 5-1 to the Blues. Chelsea have been a thorn in the side of most teams so far this season, with Liverpool being a major victim of a 2-1 victory the Blues carried out on Oct. 4. For their next Premier League game, Chelsea crushed Nottingham Forest with a 3-0 result. The Blues are set as -235 favourites tonight, as Joao Pedro leads the way as the highest probable anytime goalscorer at +130, followed by Marc Guiu at +155, and Tyrique George at +155.
Sunderland enters the match as +625 underdogs, although they are having one head-turning season at seventh place with 14 points so far. Their 2-0 loss at Old Trafford against United on Oct. 4 was unfortunate, but the Black Cats bounced back with a confident 2-0 result over Wolverhampton. While the team’s top anytime goalscorer, Wilson Isidor (three goals this season), is marked at +340 to score anytime, Chelsea have incredible depth and are finally clicking. Combine this with a homefield advantage that helped them topple Liverpool, and I foresee Chelsea winning by at least 2 goals to cover the -1.5 spread at +100 in this one.
EPL best player prop bet: Antoine Semenyo Anytime Goalscorer (+145) in Bournemouth vs. Nottingham Forest
Bournemouth takes home-field advantage, while Nottingham Forest (18th place) is extremely vulnerable with 15 goals conceded. Antoine Semenyo will be craving his seventh goal of the season tonight. With how consistently Bournemouth has performed this season, I expect Semenyo to net at least one goal tonight at +145 to help the Cherries draw at the very least, although another 3 points seems more probable.
