There has yet to be a scoreless draw at the World Cup but the under was the better total wager for the first week of the tournament. There has been an uptick in goals scored in the last few days with Serbia vs. Switzerland, Belgium vs. Tunisia, South Korea vs. Mexico, Germany vs. Sweden, and England vs. Panama all going over the 2.5-goal mark.

The over is priced at -119 while the under is paying -108 on the 2.5-goal total at Sports Interaction for Monday’s match between Spain and Morocco.

Morocco, however, have conceded just two goals in their two matches and one was an extra-time own goal. The Atlas Lions have won just two of their last 15 World Cup matches, but both victories came in their final game of the group stage.

Manager Herve Renard has seen his squad generate more shots than their opponents in each of their last six losses in World Cup matches. Morocco tallied 15 shots compared to Portugal’s 10 in their match last Wednesday.

Spain

Diego Costa caused controversy when he decided to choose Spain rather than his native Brazil for his international career. La Roja are happy he chose them instead. After a rough showing in the 2014 World Cup and then sitting out the 2016 Euros, Costa is providing clinical touch in the final third for Spain.

The Athletico Madrid striker has scored three of Spain’s three goals in Russia including the match winner against Iran. He’s one goal behind Harry Kane, Cristiano Ronaldo and Romelu Lukaku for the top of the Golden Boot race and he’s priced at +600 to finish as the tournament’s top goal scorer.

Morocco

It’s been a bad few weeks for Morocco and world football. The nation lost their bid to host the 2026 World Cup to North America, they were eliminated from the 2018 World Cup, and now FIFA is criticizing the national team.

The world football organization condemned accusations made by Morocco midfielder Nordin Amrabat that referee Mark Geiger asked for Cristiano Ronaldo’s jersey during Wednesday match.

FIFA says the claim is nonsense and is questioning whether Amrabat should have even played against Portugal. The Watford player suffered a concussion in Morocco’s first match against Iran.
