Orlando City SC vs. Montreal CF MLS Odds and Betting Trends
Over 27 total matches (one Leagues Cup game) since 2015, both sides boast exactly 10 wins and 10 losses against each other with seven draws, meaning one could potentially gain the edge on head-to-head record in this one. Four of the last five confrontations ended in draws, including the last two in a row, with Orlando winning most recently in a 4–1 victory back in July 2024. Six of their last 10 saw at least one team go scoreless, with the last occurrence in April 2025.
Even with the worst GD in the MLS (-8) and a three-game losing streak, Orlando City are considerable -140 favourites in this matchup at home. Montreal did pull off a 3-0 shocker victory over the Red Bulls last Sunday, but head to Inter&Co Stadium as +320 underdogs, with a draw priced at +290. As two teams with 19 combined goals allowed face off, the Under 3.5 is marked at -160 for this one.
Montreal CF
Montreal’s 3-0 victory over the Red Bulls last weekend was crucial in pulling them out of 15th in the East, as well as helping trim their GD to -5. The Canadian side was mostly out-matched, nine shots to New York’s 15, with only 36% possession, but were extra precise in tucking away three of their four shots on target. An 8′ penalty goal from Prince Owusu cracked open the Red Bulls as Wikelman Carmona finished them off with an insurance goal in the 68′. However, other than Orlando, the side is still tied for allowing the second-highest number of goals in the MLS after three games.
Prince-Osei Owusu finds himself carrying the highest goal-scoring chance for his team at +160 odds after netting his team’s first goal of the season last weekend. While Wikelman Carmona (+500 anytime to score) holds the team’s only other two goals, Ivan Jaime comes in as the team’s next highest probable goalscorer behind Owusu at +340 odds.
Orlando City SC
Orlando City SC begins its MLS campaign this year with one of the worst starts after making the MLS playoffs last year, losing three straight with the most goals allowed in the MLS (11). They will also have to do without starting goalkeeper Maxime Crepeau, who will be serving a suspension for a red card challenge in the last match against New York City FC. However, not all hope is lost for the Lions, who managed to lead against Inter Miami for the first half at home before taking on last year’s conference finalists, NYCFC, while playing a man down the entire game. All three of their games have been against difficult opponents, so facing Montreal at home could be a breath of fresh air for the Florida side, and all they need are certain players like Martin Ojeda and Marco Pasalic to step up and lead like they did last season.
Ojeda scored the last time he played against Montreal, and both he and Pasalic have a goal each so far this season (against Inter Miami), as both of them take the top goalscoring spot at +135 and +165 odds, respectively. Forward Duncan McGuire is also looking for his first of the season, and could do so this Saturday at a +165 price.
MLS Prediction: Who Will Win Orlando City SC vs. Montreal CF?
Orlando City easily scored two against last year’s Champions, Inter Miami, and were incredibly unlucky to play 80+ minutes with 10 men against a talented NYCFC side. Even though their stats on paper aren’t looking too ripe, they’ve got the goal-scoring talent from last year and will enter this one sights set on their first win of the season.
Montreal, on the other hand, appeared to have gotten very lucky against the Red Bulls with a penalty call and blatant goalkeeper blunder, all while being outclassed in every aspect except for New York’s finishing touch.
All things considered, Orlando has to win a game at some point with their personnel, and there’s no better time to do it than at home against Montreal. Go with the straight Orlando -140 money line for this one.
