The Three Lions were held to a scoreless draw against Ghana after Harry Kane failed to put away a second-half rebound that evoked past failures for the back-to-back European runners-up.
Panama surrendered a second-half winner to Ante Budimir and Croatia, losing 1-0 and being eliminated from the knockout stage. The country is still searching for its first-ever World Cup point in its second appearance. It won’t get it here.

Los Canaleros came oh so close to securing a point in its opener with the Black Stars before succumbing to a 95th-minute winner by Valeb Yirenki. Queiroz’s side is built to withstand wave after wave of offensive attacks, which is good because England is coming.
