The 2026 World Cup Round of 32 rolls into AT&T Stadium in Arlington on Tuesday when the Ivory Coast face Norway.

Les Éléphants are making history already; this is the first time in four World Cup appearances that they have reached the knockout rounds, arriving in Dallas on six points from Group E.

Norway are back at the tournament for the first time since 1998 and have been one of the most watchable sides of the group stage, racking up seven goals in wins over Iraq and Senegal before rotating their starters in a 4-1 loss to France.

Erling Haaland arrives rested, refreshed, and hungry for his first knockout-stage moment against an Ivory Coast squad ready to make a tournament run.

Ivory Coast FIFA World Cup Odds and News

Ivory Coast’s group stage was the most satisfying kind of storyline: a golden generation finally delivering on the biggest stage. Les Éléphants edged Ecuador 1-0 in their opener through Amad Diallo’s late winner, led Germany 1-0 at the half before losing 2-1 to a Deniz Undav double off the bench, then closed out Group E with a comfortable 2-0 win over Curaçao, thanks to two goals from Nicolas Pepe.

Manager Emerse Faé, who famously guided the Ivory Coast to the AFCON title in 2023, has built a side with real defensive structure and a lightning-fast attack led by 19-year-old Yan Diomande. His pace and directness have been effective, and captain Franck Kessie has pulled the strings in midfield.

Norway FIFA World Cup Odds and News

Norway’s return to the World Cup has exceeded even optimistic expectations. Haaland scored twice in a 4-1 rout of Iraq, then added two more in a 3-2 win over Senegal to reach four goals before manager Ståle Solbakken rested his first-choice lineup against France.

The Haaland–Ødegaard partnership is among the most dangerous at the tournament, with Antonio Nusa and Alexander Sorloth providing explosive width. The one concern is defensive: Norway gave up two goals to Senegal and showed vulnerability when pressed, which Ivory Coast’s direct attackers will look to exploit from the first whistle.

Ivory Coast vs. Norway Player Odds and Props

  • Erling Haaland (NOR) to score (+100): Even money on the world’s best striker in a single-elimination game is outstanding value. As good as the Ivory Coast’s defence is, they haven’t faced a forward of this calibre.
  • Nicolas Pepe to score (+425): The former Arsenal man had two goals against Curaçao, so he’s in red-hot form coming into this one. Norway allowed seven goals in the group stage, so it’s worth backing Pepe to stay in form.

FIFA World Cup 2026 Bracket and Futures

Norway are a genuine dark horse at +3500 odds to win the tournament, with a win here setting up a potential Round of 16 meeting with Brazil or Japan. Ivory Coast is priced at +11,000. For Les Éléphants, reaching the knockout stage was itself historic, but the squad’s belief is clear: they came to Dallas to win, not just to make the bracket.

Ivory Coast vs. Norway Score Prediction

Best bet: Both Teams to score – yes (-125)

Ivory Coast has only conceded against Germany, but their two shutouts came against Ecuador and Curaçao, who combined for three goals in the group stage. Norway’s attack is on a different level, but I’m not sold on their defence. This game could take an extra 30 minutes, so my best bet is for both teams to find the back of the net.
