Brazil vs. Morocco Prediction: World Cup Group Stage Betting Odds

The Brazilians enter this tournament with enormous pressure after bowing out in the quarterfinals at the 2022 World Cup, while the Moroccans are trying to replicate their 2022 run, which saw them make it all the way to the semifinals. The winner of this match will likely go on to win the group, so let’s dive into my Brazil vs Morocco betting picks.

Brazil vs. Morocco World Cup How to Watch & Match Info

  • Time: Saturday, June 13th at 6:00 PM ET
  • Stadium: New York New Jersey Stadium (East Rutherford, NJ)
  • TV Channel: TSN
  • Weather: 32.2°C – Partly sunny, hot and less humid

Brazil vs. Morocco Group C Match Betting Odds

Brazil enters this matchup against Morocco as a clear favourite, sitting at -160 on the moneyline, which implies roughly a 61.5% chance of winning. Morocco, meanwhile, is priced at +425, making them a significant underdog despite their recent success on the international stage. The draw at +290 is also worth noting, as international football often produces tighter contests than club play. Oddsmakers expect Brazil to edge this one, but not necessarily dominate.

The total market reflects that caution, with Under 2.5 goals favoured at -135, suggesting bookmakers anticipate a relatively low-scoring affair. Bettors expecting Brazil’s attacking talent to overwhelm Morocco may find value in Brazil -0.5 (-175) or the Over 2.5 (+100), while those who believe Morocco can frustrate the Seleção could look toward the under or even a long-shot result on the Moroccan moneyline.

Brazil World Cup Odds and News

Brazil comes into the tournament off the back of back-to-back friendly victories against Panama and Egypt. After their win over Egypt, Carlos Ancelotti said he had a “clear idea” of Brazil’s starting XI, and I expect him to roll out a typical 4-2-3-1 formation. The biggest thing to watch is whether Ancelotti slides Flamengo’s Lucas Paqueta into the 10 role or elects to play with Raphinha in that spot with another player slated out wide.

Brazil enters this tournament relatively healthy, but outside back Wesley did exit their final friendly against Egypt with a left thigh muscle injury. Unfortunately, it was enough to knock him off the World Cup roster, and he will be replaced by Atalanta midfielder Éderson. Neymar is also dealing with a calf issue, but outside of those two knocks, Brazil’s health is in a great spot.

Morocco World Cup Odds and News

This is an interesting Moroccan squad, and I’m not entirely sure what to expect from them at this World Cup. They obviously made that semifinal run in 2022 and followed that up with a 2025 AFCON Final appearance against Senegal. However, the manager who got them there, Walid Regragui, is no longer leading the team, as he stepped down after the AFCON Final. He was replaced by Mohamed Ouahbi, who led the Morocco U20 team to the 2025 FIFA U-20 World Cup title.

So, there is a new man in charge, but I expect Morocco to follow a similar strategy as they did in 2022: sit in and make themselves difficult to beat. Morocco is also dealing with two injuries, as Noussair Mazraoui and Abde Ezzalzouli exited their final friendly against Norway. They’re both doing all they can to start this game, but either player not being able to play would be a big blow.

Brazil vs. Morocco Player Odds and Props

Raphina 2+ shots on target (+200) – Registered five shots and three on target against Panama and Egypt, and has 2+ shots on target in five of his last eight games for club and country.

Yassine Bounou 4+ goalkeeper saves (+110) – Opposing goalkeepers have 19 saves over Brazil’s last five contests, all of which were friendlies. Bono will have to stand on his head in this one, but he has the talent to do exactly that.

World Cup 2026 Bracket and Futures

Brazil has the fourth-shortest odds to win the 2026 World Cup at +900 odds. Morocco now has the talent in attack to punish teams on the counterattack, which is why it makes sense that they have the 12th shortest odds to win the World Cup (+5000). Both squads are expected to advance from Group C, and they should finish in the top two spots, as Brazil / Morocco for a Dual Forecast bet in Group C has a -175 price.

Morocco has the shortest odds to be the top African team at the tournament (+225), and Brazil has +155 odds to be the top South American team, which is identical to Argentina’s odds. One final market I may take a nibble on is Brazil to be the highest scoring team (+600); only France (+500) and Spain (+300) carry shorter odds.

Brazil vs. Morocco Score Prediction

Expect Brazil to win this group in the end, but this game ends in a 1-1 draw.
