Bosnia and Herzegovina vs. Qatar Prediction: FIFA World Cup 2026 Odds, Betting Picks
A spot in the knockout round is still possible for Bosnia-Herzegovina and Qatar as they prepare to close out their group stage schedules on Wednesday in Seattle.
Both teams were blown out in Matchday 2, with Bosnia losing 4-1 to Switzerland and Qatar falling 6-0 against Canada.
Sitting at one point each, Bosnia is currently third in Group B with a minus-three goal differential, while Qatar is fourth at minus-six. Neither team is likely to finish top-two in the group, but both still have a chance to reach the Round of 32 as the top-eight third-place teams will also advance.

Bosnia and Herzegovina vs. Qatar Betting Odds
Bosnia is a sizeable -250 favourite to win. Qatar is a heavy +600 underdog and a draw is listed at +425. With goal differential likely coming into play, both of these teams will be focused on winning by a good enough margin to finish as one of the top third-place teams.
The total is pegged at 2.5, with the Under priced at +130, which might be good value. Despite this year’s World Cup producing 25 per cent more goals than Qatar 2022, Bosnia has scored only one goal in each of their first two games, while Qatar has just one total goal in the tournament.

Bosnia and Herzegovina FIFA World Cup Odds and News
Bosnia is the lowest ranked FIFA team in Group B, but they’ve put up a solid performance through two games, nearly beating Canada in the opener. The Dragons can actually still finish runner-up in the group if they beat Qatar, Canada loses to Switzerland and they beat the Canadians on goal-differential. However, Bosnia is guaranteed to finish fourth in the group if they lose on Wednesday, so the focus should be on beating Qatar to give themselves a chance at reaching the Round of 32.
Bosnia will be missing a significant piece due to suspension on Wednesday after Tarik Muharemovic was sent off in the loss to Switzerland. Dennis Hadzikadunic, who played on loan in Serie B last season, likely slots into Muharemovic’s spot. The team will need more from veteran striker Edin Dzeko, who didn’t play against Canada before struggling against Switzerland.
Qatar FIFA World Cup Odds and News
Qatar was impressive in a tournament-opening draw against Switzerland, but the wheels fell off against Canada. The Maroon One went down to nine men and the Canadians led heavily in every major statistic including possession (67-33), shots (32-2) and shots on target (10-0). Qatar needs a win against Bosnia and a Swiss loss to Canada to have a shot at the knockout round.
Homam Ahmed and Assim Madibo are both suspended on Wednesday because of the Canada game. Sultan Al Brake is assumed to replace Ahmed at the back, while Karim Boudiaf should take Madibo’s place. Edmilson Junior is expected to remain in the starting XI despite failing to find the back of the net so far in the tournament.
Bosnia and Herzegovina vs. Qatar Player Odds and Props
I expect Dzeko to look more comfortable in his second game of the tournament after missing the opener because of a shoulder injury. He still managed two shots in limited action against a much tougher Swiss team last time out, so I think he’ll top that against Qatar.
Edmilson Junior 2+ shots (-110)
Edmilson Junior has led Qatar with three shots in two games and his role should only get bigger with two starters out of the lineup on Wednesday.
FIFA World Cup 2026 Bracket and Futures
Neither team can win the group and they’re both extreme long shots to finish runner-up. That leaves the best qualification path for Bosnia and Qatar as finishing as one of the top eight third-place teams. That will be easier for Bosnia, although as of Tuesday afternoon they are ranked 10th among all third-place teams.
Bosnia and Herzegovina vs. Qatar Score Prediction
Final score prediction: Bosnia and Herzegovina 1 | Qatar 0
This is a do-or-die game for both teams, so they should come out hard in a highly entertaining contest. I have to side with Bosnia taking all three points, however, as they have been the better team through two games and Qatar will be missing two starters.
