Canada vs. United States Olympic Odds and Betting

Bet on Canada vs. United States Olympic Women’s Hockey.
At the 2018 Olympics, the Americans ended Canada’s four-Olympic championship run with a 3-2 shootout win. The way the game played out seemed almost cinematic, as twin sisters Monique Lamoureux-Morando and Jocelyne Lamoureux-Davidson scored, respectively, to tie the game and then win it in the shootout.
In August of this year, Canada renewed their rivalry by winning the Women’s World Championships, which ended the United States’ five year winning run. Canadian captain Marie-Philip Poulin earned the overtime goal for the 3-2 win in that thriller.
Team Canada
Canada’s Sunday night game against the Russian Olympic Committee was delayed by over an hour as the Canadian team were reluctant to take to the ice after the Russians had not shared the team’s COVID test results. In the first compromise of it’s kind at these games, the International Ice Hockey Federation had the players from both teams wear masks while they played.
Masks seemed to make no difference, as the Canadians maintained their level of play and dominated the entire game. Their 6-1 win over Russia brought them to 3-0 as they now prepare to face their biggest rival.
Team Canada had goals from captain Marie-Philip Poulin, Sarah Fillier, Jamie Lee Rattray, Sarah Nurse, Rebecca Johnston and Erin Ambrose in the win.
Netminder Emerance Maschmeyer stopped 11 of 12 shots in her first start of these Olympics.

Team USA
The American Women’s Olympic team is rolling just as hard into this game as the Canadians, easily crushing their first three opponents with heavily lopsided scoring. They’re coming into this game against the Canadians after dominating Switzerland in their third game of the preliminary round. The final score in that game was 8-0.
The United States came out strong in the first period, scoring five goals to get things started. Hilary Knight scored twice in the first with additional goals added by Jesse Compher, Kelly Pannek and Amanda Kessel.
Making her Olympic debut was goaltender Alex Cavallini, who earned a shutout, but only faced twelve shots on net. The United States had 66 shots on the Swiss net.
