Add Sports Interacton as Your Preferred News Source

Say what one will regarding the Toronto Maple Leafs as a whole. However inconsistent they might be, whatever they lack to prove the doubters wrong in the postseason, one thing is clear: William Nylander is awesome. An unrestricted free agent at season’s end, the forward has tallied at least a point in every one of the club’s contests thus far. He’s currently seventh in the NHL with 27 points.

Nylander’s string of points collected is impressive. That said, streaks do two things. First, they can continue. Second, they come to an end. It begs the question: when will Nylander complete a game without either a goal or an assist? Let’s take a look at some props.

Odds for When William Nylander’s Point Streak Will End

Toronto Maple Leafs vs. Chicago Blackhawks

The Toronto Maple Leafs finally hit the ice on Friday, November 24 in Chicago versus the Blackhawks. The club has been on an extended break following their weekend games in Sweden for the league’s Global Series. They haven’t played since Sunday and had to deal with cross-Atlantic travelling back and forth. This is priced at +135.

Chicago is having a rough season, although that was expected, even with a generational talent like Connor Bedard as the number-one overall pick. On Wednesday they visited the lowly Columbus Blue Jackets and were pummelled 7-3. If Columbus can turn on the red light that much, Toronto and Nylander certainly can as well.

Toronto Maple Leafs vs. Pittsburgh Penguins

On Saturday, November 25 the Leafs head to Pittsburgh to contend with Sidney Crosby and the Penguins. This is pegged at +264. This is an interesting one insofar as the Penguins are a top 10 defensive side in the NHL. Conceding only 2.64 goals a game, that’s good for sixth.

Toronto Maple Leafs vs. Florida Panthers

Toronto gets to rest for a couple of days before playing the Panthers down in Florida on Tuesday, November 28. The way the odds are set up, it’s expected that Nylander’s beguiling contributions will end sooner rather than later, so the payout gets higher with each successive match. This game is currently set at +565.

Seattle Kraken, Boston Bruins

Should William Nylander’s consistency prove too great for any of the three previous teams to halt it, there is always the Seattle Kraken on Thursday, November 30. This is a home game for the Leafs priced at +775. Subsequently, all other matches are priced at +1250, the first of which is when the Bruins come to town on Saturday, December 2.
