A win for the Oilers would make it a clean sweep of a road trip, with wins in Utah and Colorado over the weekend. Vegas is in need a bounce back after getting shelled 6-0 on home ice on Saturday.

Five points separate first (Vegas) and fourth (Edmonton) in the Pacific, and now that it’s past American Thanksgiving every game between these two club is supposed to act as a playoff preview. Edmonton remains the Stanley Cup winner favourite at +750 odds, and Vegas the ninth-best odds at +1400.

Puck drop at T-Mobile Arena begins at 10 p.m. EST with the Oilers a -125 road favourite and the over-under at 6.5 on the NHL odds.

Oilers vs. Golden Knights NHL Betting Odds

The Oilers have started the 2024–25 as road warriors, going 8-3-1 so far and 6-2 in their last eight. Vegas continues to be one of the top home teams in the NHL though, owning a 9-3 home record despite Saturday’s 6-0 defeat. Four of Vegas’ last five home games have finished over the total, as have four of the last six Oilers–Golden Knights contests played in Vegas.

Tuesday’s the second meeting of the season between Edmonton and Vegas. The Golden Knights came out on top back on November 6 by a score of 4-2. Defenceman Noah Hanifin scored back-to-back third period goals in the win and Jack Eichel had a goal and two assists.

Edmonton Oilers

Saturday’s win at Colorado was arguably exactly what the Oilers needed. Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl combined on the scoresheet for an assist, and Edmonton got their four goals mainly from unlikely sources as Ryan Nugent-Hopkins, Kasperi Kapanen, Vasily Podkolzin, and Brett Kulak all found the back of the net for the Oilers. And maybe even more important was Stuart Skinner turning away 27 of 28 shots faced. Skinner’s finished last month with a 6-2-1 record and has registered a save percentage above .930 in three of his last four starts.

With a goal and an assist Saturday, Nugent-Hopkins has goals in back-to-back games for Edmonton and three in his last five outings. For an Oilers team again lacking scoring depth, the Nuge’s revolution could be coming at the perfect time.

Vegas Golden Knights

A weekend back-to-back hit Vegas hard, or at least that’s what they better be believing as they turn the page from Saturday’s rare 6-0 home loss. The Golden Knights had defeated Winnipeg 4-3 the night prior, and the fact that prior to Saturday Vegas had given up six goals just once on the season makes the loss an anomaly. But Vegas can’t afford to make this a trend, and again have their goaltending get exploited again. Adin Hill and Ilya Samsonov have a great team in front of them, but both netminders are under .895 in the save percentage category this season.

Saturday was a disappointing night up front too with the Golden Knights getting shutout. The goal-less outing left top scorer Jack Eichel with five goals and 15 assists in the month of November. Eichel’s 36 points in 25 games has the 2015 second-overall pick well on pace for a career high in points.
