  • NY Rangers -180 +1
  • Washington Capitals +150 -1

New York Rangers

Before the season was put on hold, the Rangers were making a strong case to be part of the post season party. With 79 points, the Blueshirts are two points out of a Wildcard position chasing the Blue Jackets and Hurricanes in the Eastern Conference.

Artemi Panarin has been the best free agent signing of any NHL player this season, and perhaps one of the best signings of recent years. After spending the last two seasons in the state of Ohio, where he set personal bests of 82 and then 87 points consecutive seasons, he has surpassed both totals as a Ranger. Panarin has 95 points this season in 69 games and was making an excellent case to be the league’s most valuable player.

Washington Capitals

The Capitals sit in first place in the Metro, and were one of the top contenders to head back to the Stanley Cup finals.

At the time of the postponement, Defenceman John Carlson was running away with the Norris Trophy. Through 69 games, Carlson has 75 points, and is already five points better than last year’s career high mark of 70 points in a season. He is fourth in the NHL in assists with 60, only seven assists back of the league leader, Leon Draisaitl, who also leads the NHL in points with 110.
