The Islanders have dropped 10 of their previous 12 games against Eastern Conference opponents and are just 1-7 SU in their last eight outings at Barclays Center. Toronto is rolling with 14 wins in its last 19 games following a victory and is 5-2 its previous seven games against East foes.
It will come as no surprise that this game carries a total of 6.5; over bettors are no doubt familiar with these two teams. The Islanders have gone above the number six times in their previous eight games against the Atlantic Division and are 18-6 O/U in their last 24 on two days of rest. The Maple Leafs have gone over in five consecutive road games, and these teams are 9-2 O/U in their previous 11 head-to-head encounters in New York.

Toronto has looked rather Islander-like this month, ranking third in goals scored in March (3.82) and 18th in goals against (3.09).
New York Islanders
You have to wonder if oddsmakers considered bumping this total to seven, given how wide-open Islanders games have been for most of the season. New York comes into this one having posted the second-most overs in the NHL (46) despite not seeing a total below six since Dec. 27 against the Buffalo Sabres. The Islanders have also lost four of their previous six games as an underdog while surrendering six or more goals in three of those defeats.
