Jets vs. Wild Prediction: NHL Betting Odds

The Jets are in a battle for top spot in the Central division and can do themselves a favour by claiming their first win of the season against the Wild on Tuesday night. It’s hard to believe that the Jets had little to no problems with the Wild last year (finishing them off in five games in the first round of the playoffs) considering the season they have had against them this year.

Jets vs Wild Betting Analysis

The Wild have had all kinds of success against the Jets this season. Tuesday night they will be looking for a five-game series sweep. Two of the four previous games have been one goal games, the other two, two goal games. Of the four games this year, three have been under the total, and the other one, a push.

Speaking off the under, the Wild are a perfect 7-0 to the under in their last seven games against teams with a winning record.

Take special note of the Avalanche versus St. Louis game on Monday night. If the Avs win this game, it would mathematically eliminate the Wild from the post season. If that is the case, you could anticipate a letdown factor for the home side.

Crazy stat of the Wild’s season that makes no sense; they are a combined 8-0-1 against the Jets, Lightning and Golden Knights in nine games.

Winnipeg Jets

For the first time in franchise history, the Jets have reached the playoffs in back-to-back seasons and will have to fight down the stretch to get the best possible match-up in the standings.

This will be game two of back-to-back games for the Jets. They are 5-3-0 in the second game of back-to-backs this season. Last season, they were 4-4-1 in second game scenarios.

Entering Monday night’s game with the Hawks, the Jets were 20-17-0 on the road this season, which has tied a franchise record for most wins in a season from the 2014-15 and 2018-19 seasons.

Minnesota Wild

The Wild have been sitting back and stewing after a big loss on Saturday night to the Coyotes, as former team mate Darcy Kuemper stopped 39 shots to record the shutout.

The Wild are a dismal 3-6-1 in their last 10 games, and have lost three of their last four games overall.

Zach Parise has not played since the Wild’s game in Washington (March 22) after sustaining a lower-body injury. Head Coach Bruce Boudreau mentioned that he is likely done for the rest of the season.

Speaking off Boudreau, there is plenty of talk that this will be the last season for the veteran coach behind the bench. Although he has another year left on his contract, General Manager Paul Fenton may look in a different direction this off-season.
