Philadelphia Flyers vs. Toronto Maple Leafs Prediction, NHL Odds

The Toronto Maple Leafs host the Philadelphia Flyers on Tuesday in their final meeting of the season. The Leafs are heavy favourites to win on the NHL odds.

Flyers vs. Maple Leafs NHL Betting Odds

Tuesday concludes the season series between the teams. The Leafs lead 2-0 and took both games in Philadelphia: 3-0 on Nov. 10 and 6-3 on April 2. Auston Matthews (1G, 2A), Morgan Rielly (1G, 2A) and William Nylander lead Toronto with three points each in the series. Jack Campbell was in net for both games and has a 1.50 goals-against average and .956 save percentage.

Defenceman Ivan Provorov (2G, 1A) leads Philadelphia with three points in the series. Carter Hart started both in net and has a 4.51 GAA and .852 SV but he’s now out injured.

The road team has won four of the past five in the series. The total has gone over in five of the past seven. It’s Philadelphia’s first game in Toronto since a 3-2 shootout win on Nov. 9, 2019.

Philadelphia Flyers

Philadelphia is long eliminated from playoff contention and is better off losing as much as possible the rest of the way to increase its chances of winning the NHL Draft lottery. The Flyers enter on a five-game skid following a 5-3 home defeat to Buffalo on Sunday. Kevin Hayes (ninth of season), Noah Cates (third) and Zack MacEwen (third) had the goals. It was the third career start in net for young Felix Sandstrom, but it should be veteran Martin Jones here. He’s 10-16-0 with a 3.51 GAA and .898 SV. The Flyers essentially have shut down a handful of players and a few others are in question for Tuesday, led by winger Cam Atkinson (23 goals, 27 assists). Philadelphia is 5-21 in its past 26 vs. Atlantic Division teams.

Toronto Maple Leafs

Toronto played without Matthews, the goal-scoring leader, on Sunday but won its third straight game, 4-2 over the visiting New York Islanders behind goals from Nylander (31st), Mitchell Marner (34th of season), Pierre Envgall (14th) and David Kampf (10th). Campbell stopped 27-of-29 shots to improve to 29-9-5 with a 2.71 GAA and .912 SV. The Leafs have set franchise records for wins (50) and points (106) and are still battling for second place in the Atlantic Division and home-ice advantage in the first round of the playoffs. Matthews is day-to-day. You know he wants to get to 60 goals. Defenceman Jake Muzzin (14 points) missed both games this weekend and is questionable. The Leafs are 10-3 in their past 13 Tuesday games.
