The Oilers return home after snapping a five-game losing streak with a 3-1 win in Carolina on Saturday, which also marks the club’s only win in regulation over their past 10 games. The Ducks have extended their recent streaky ways with losses in three of their past four contests but have picked up at least a point in six of their past 10 road dates.
The Oilers hit the ice for Thursday’s NHL betting matchup perched as big -275 favourites on the NHL odds and are a short -135 NHL puckline bet to claim victory by multiple goals. The Ducks trail as +290 underdogs and the total is pegged at 6.5.

Thursday night’s clash is the third of four regular season meetings between these Pacific Division rivals. These clubs split their first two meetings of the campaign, with the home team emerging victorious in each, capped by Edmonton’s narrow 3-2 victory on January 3. The Ducks’ recent woes continued in Saturday’s 6-3 loss to the lowly Chicago Blackhawks. For the second time in three games, the club surrendered three goals in the third period. Anaheim has also been prone to slow starts while failing to score in the opening frame in four of six outings.
Leo Carlsson has emerged as one of the most productive Ducks shooters since returning from the 4 Nations Face-Off. The Swedish sniper potted two goals in Saturday’s loss to Chicago and piled up four markers and two assists in five games since the end of the tourney.
