Ducks vs Canucks Betting Analysis
The Ducks left Alberta with an 0-2 mark against the Edmonton Oilers and Calgary Flames. Anaheim lost on Friday night in Calgary and Saturday night in Edmonton, both by 2-1 scorelines.
The club is 1-8 in its last nine road games and is 12-21 straight up away from home this season. The Ducks beat the Canucks 1-0 when the two teams last played earlier this month. Anaheim has had success against Vancouver. The team is 6-1 in its last seven games against the Canucks.
Anaheim’s season has been a major disappointment for the squad’s backers. Only five teams (New Jersey, Los Angeles, Colorado, Vegas and Edmonton) are worse moneyline bets. A $100 bettor would be down $786 if they backed the Ducks in all their games.
As mentioned, the Under has been a profitable way to wager on the Ducks. The Under is 39-21-2 in Anaheim’s games and 5-1 in the last six contests.
Vancouver is coming off a 4-0 loss to the New York Islanders on Saturday night. The Canucks are 2-8 SU in their last 10 contests and they’re six points back of the Minnesota Wild for the final playoff spot in the West.
Anaheim Ducks
It’s been goalie by committee in recent weeks for the Ducks. Kevin Boyle, Ryan Miller and Chad Johnson all saw action during the two-week absence of starter John Gibson. Gibson is expected to make his return between the pipes on Monday night.
Despite the injury to Gibson, goaltending hasn’t been the key issue for Anaheim. The Ducks have scored one or less goals in seven of their last 10 games.
Vancouver Canucks
Lighting the lamp is a similar problem for Travis Green’s side. The Canucks own the league’s least effective power play unit in 2019 and are just 1-for-22 with the man advantage in their last seven games.
Vancouver is really missing veteran defenceman Alex Edler. The 13-year pro is out with a concussion and isn’t expected to return to the lineup until the first week of March.
