St. Louis Blues vs. Winnipeg Jets Prediction, NHL Odds
St. Louis has yet to trail in any game so far, as they have opened their season with a three-game win streak. Winnipeg’s offence has been struggling out of the gate with only three goals during their two-game losing streak.
The moneyline is essentially a pick em tonight on the NHL odds with the total set at 6.5.
Blues vs. Jets NHL Betting Odds
The Jets got the better of the Blues in last year’s season series taking three of the four meetings, but the set was extremely close with two games being decided in extra time. The total was set at 6 throughout the entire series and they played the Under 2-1-1, while the Jets covered the spread in all four matchups.
St. Louis played the Under for the first time in the early season Saturday night, in their 2-0 win over the Edmonton Oilers. Their offence has scored 11 goals through the first three games but has not taken over 30 shots on goal in an outing. Goalie Jordan Binnington has been sharp so far, starting all three games, and posting a .940 save percentage with a 1.65 goals-against average.
The Jets are 1-3-1 against the total in their opening five games, as the offence has been struggling as of late. After a four-goal outing on opening night, they have been held to two goals or less in three of four games. They have failed to cover the spread over their two-game losing streak, boasting a 2-3 record ATS so far this season.

St. Louis Blues
Jordan Bennington made 23 saves picking up his 11th career shutout Saturday night, in the Blues’ 2-0 win over the Edmonton Oilers, keeping them a perfect 3-0 early in the season.
St. Louis got their offence from the blueline as Tory Krug’s early powerplay goal would stand as the game-winner, while Justin Faulk added an empty netter for his third of the year.
Vladimir Tarasenko has been leading the way offensively with six points (2G, 4A) through three games, his line completed with Brayden Schenn (5 pts) and Robert Thomas (4A) has been the Blues’ primary source of offence. The team would like to see more from their bottom six forwards, as that part of the lineup has combined for only two points so far this season.
Winnipeg Jets
Winnipeg’s new head coach Rick Bowness, joined the team Saturday after missing the first four games of the season due to Covid. He came back just in time to witness a feisty game versus the Toronto Maple Leafs in which his squad would fall 4-1.
The Jets got off on the right foot with Pierre-Luc Dubois opening the scoring with his second of the year just 4:17 into the game. Then a penalty to Josh Morrissey would result in a Leafs powerplay goal to tie it going to intermission.
In the second the game heated up after Morrissey hit a Leafs rookie resulting in a handful of penalties for both teams. Toronto added another goal followed by one more on the powerplay and would seal it with an empty netter in the third. Winnipeg’s special teams have let them down so far this season ranking near the bottom in powerplay percentage (14.3%) and penalty killing (69.2%).
