Edmonton netminder Mike Smith returned to action for the first time since Jan. 5 due to a thumb injury. Smith stopped 24 of the 28 shots sent his way.
The Oilers will likely start Stuart Skinner in net on Wednesday. Skinner boasts a 5-6-0 record with a 2.85 goals against average.
The Oilers’ next game will be Friday night at home, when they host the New York Islanders.
