The Football Team come in having dropped four in a row following a season-opening victory, while the Giants are one of three teams still looking for their first victory of 2020. The Giants look to duplicate the success they had last season, when they scored 65 points en route to a two-game series sweep.

NFL Week 6 Point Spread and Betting Analysis

The Giants are 2.5-point favourites in this battle to see which team can get back into the win column, and which one moves closer to having the top pick in the 2021 draft. New York has successfully covered in 10 of the last 14 head-to-head meetings, including the previous three games. And while they’re probably holding their noses while doing so, a slight majority (58 percent) of Sports Interaction bettors are siding with the faves.

Even with the league on a record-breaking offensive pace through five weeks, the total for this game is on the low end at 42.5 – and even more eye-opening is that 55 percent of bettors are leaning toward the Under. Granted, these teams have been offensive disasters so far, with the Giants ranking second-last in the league with 81 points and Washington fourth-worst at 89. Five of the past seven head-to-head encounters have fallen short of the number.

Washington Football Team

The Football Team faces turmoil in a lot of areas, but the quarterback position is clearly at the top of the list. Dwayne Haskins’ frustrating ineffectiveness led to him being replaced in Week 5 by Kyle Allen, who left last week’s 30-10 setback to the Rams due to injury. Veteran Alex Smith came in and played admirably in his first game action since suffering a catastrophic leg injury two years ago, but head coach Ron Rivera intends to go back to Allen (if healthy) this week.

New York Giants

Why are oddsmakers bullish on the Giants’ chances of securing their first win of the season (besides the fact that they’re facing an equally inept opponent)? It could be the major step forward they took on offence last week, racking up 34 points – three more than they had managed in each of their previous three games combined. Quarterback Daniel Jones has thrown for 1,111 yards through five games and also leads the team with 130 rushing yards.
