Washington vs. Raiders Point Spread: NFL Week 13 Odds, Prediction
Washington has vaulted into second place in the NFC East despite still being below .500 with the worst point differential in the division – and they’ll be in tough as they seek their first win in five tries against an AFC opponent this season.
NFL Point Spread and Betting Analysis
Washington has faced an uphill battle to respectability all season – and that trend continues this week. Despite winning three straight games SU as an underdog, Washington has just 21 percent support from Sports Interaction bettors ahead of this one. It probably doesn’t help that Washington is just 2-4 ATS in its last six road contests. The Raiders are a solid 4-2 ATS at Allegiant Stadium in 2021, but have covered just three of their last nine overall.
The total for Sunday’s showdown is on the high side at 49.5, with a slight 57 percent majority leaning toward the Over at -110. Neither side is trending heavily in either direction, with the Raiders at 6-5 O/U and Washington at 5-6. But five of Washington’s six Unders have come in the previous six games, with three of those contests coming in below the 40-point plateau. The Raiders, on the other hand, are 8-2 O/U in their last 10 home games.
Washington Football Team
Washington’s journey through the AFC West has been downright abysmal – and that could mean the difference between making and missing the playoffs. Washington has been outscored 68-39 in losses to the Chargers, Chiefs and Broncos, and are 0-4 against the AFC overall if you include a 43-21 drubbing at the hands of the Buffalo Bills. On the plus side, the Washington defence has stepped up, holding the last three opponents to an average of 18.3 points.
Las Vegas Raiders
The key to victory has been a simple one for Las Vegas in 2021: Score points. The Raiders have one of the largest W-L scoring disparities in the NFL this season, averaging 32.2 points in their six victories and just 13.2 points in their five losses. There’s an equally concerning divide between the pass and rush offences, with the Raiders averaging the second-most yards through the air (296.5) but ranking a dismal 27th in rushing offence (89.1).
