The Week 17 Titans vs. Texans matchup has been flexed from a noon start time to the 4:25g time slot. The game will be played at NRG Stadium in Houston.

NFL Point Spread and Betting Analysis

These two teams just recently battled it out in Week 15, in a game that the Texans won by a final score of 24-21.

Ryan Tannehill completed 22-of-36 passes for 279 yards and two touchdowns for the Titans in that game, and RB Derrick Henry had 21 carries for a total of 86 yards. WR A.J. Brown had a fantastic game, catching eight passes for 114 yards and a TD.

On the Texans’ side, Deshaun Watson threw for 243 yards and two touchdown passes. WR DeAndre Hopkins had 119 receiving yards.

Tennessee Titans

Playoffs hopes are still alive for the Titans, even though they lost last week to the Saints, as the Steelers lost to the Jets. If they do lose this game against Houston, they’ll need losses from the Steelers and Colts to give them a chance in the postseason. If they beat the Texans, they’re in.

It was looking like the Titans had found a franchise quarterback in Ryan Tannehill, as he won six of his first seven starts this season. But now they enter Week 17 having lost two in a row, including last week’s loss to the Saints, which many Tennessee fans took issue with due to some questionable calls in the latter half of the game.

If the Titans make it to the playoffs, they’ll need to address their huge defensive issues. In these last two losses, the defence has given up 62 points, which is a a far cry from the numbers they were getting during that win streak, in which they allowed an average per game of just 21 points.

Houston Texans

The Houston Texans come into this game with a 23-20 win against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers under their belt, as well as the AFC South title.

They didn’t win because of an incredible offensive effort, as they Bucs outgained them 435-229 in yards, but Tampa Bay could not stop turning the ball over, doing it five times to help the Texans secure a win.

Houston will be without wideout Will Fuller this weekend, as he sustained a groin injury in last week’s win and will be out for up to three weeks.
