Titans vs. Eagles Point Spread: NFL Week 13 Odds, Prediction
The Tennessee Titans had their two-game winning streak snapped by the Cincinnati Bengals last Sunday. The 20-16 defeat was still just a bump in the road as they have won seven out of their last nine games and are among the top teams in the AFC. This week, they get another tough test as they head out on the road to face the team with the best record in the NFL: the Philadelphia Eagles. They’re 10-1 on the season after pulling out a 40-33 shootout victory versus the Green Bay Packers.
NFL Point Spread and Betting Analysis
The Titans are 8-1 ATS in their past nine games overall and have covered five straight on the road. When it comes to the total, the under has come through in seven out of their last eight games overall and five out of their last six when going up against a team with a winning record on the season.
As for the Eagles, they are 6-2 ATS in their past eight games played on grass and are 5-2 ATS in their last seven against teams with a winning record on the season. Unlike the Titans, the total has gone over in 10 out of their last 11 games played at home and five out of their last six games overall.
Tennessee Titans
The Titans don’t have the most feared passing offense in the league but their ground game remains effective. They’re 12th in the NFL in rushing while Derrick Henry leads the league in rushing attempts and is second in yards. The Eagles are still missing Jordan Davis in the middle of the defensive line, so the Titans should have good opportunities this week. That absence could allow Henry to tear through the line consistently. The Packers averaged 5.0 yards per carry against the Eagles last week and if the Titans do the same, they should have a good chance to win.
The downside is that Tennessee remains one of the worst passing defenses in the league. They are second-to-last in passing yards allowed. That might be a problem versus the Eagles trio of wideouts, including AJ Brown, Devonta Smith and Quez Watkins.
Philadelphia Eagles
The Eagles might have the best record in the league but each of their last three games have been unbelievably close. They lost to the Washington Commanders by 11, followed up by a one-score victory over the Indianapolis Colts and then edged out the Packers on Sunday Night Football. SomDe are wondering if they peaked too early on in the season and are fading as we head down the home stretch.
One of the most important injuries to note is cornerback Chauncey Gardner-Johnson. Gardner-Johnson got injured in their win over the Packers and is currently listed as out for this upcoming matchup. He’s the league leader in interceptions, so this could be another major blow to a defense already missing Davis.
