The Seattle Seahawks have had a number of close calls recently but they’ve won three straight and four of their last five games. This week, they’ll take on a Houston Texans team that’s on the rise. The Texans, who are fresh off a bye, have been an explosive offensive team with Deshaun Watson under center, but can they find a way to steal a win in Seattle?

Point Spread: Seattle -5.5 Date: Sunday October 29th, 2017 – 4:05 PM ET Location: CenturyLink Field, Seattle, Washington
Point Spread And Betting Analysis
The Seahawks opened up as a 5.5-point favorite but the line has dropped to -5. Seattle improved to 4-2 straight up and 3-3 against the spread with last week’s win over New York. Meanwhile, Houston is coming off its bye week with a 3-3 record straight up and a 4-2 record against the spread. The total opened up at 43 but has quickly climbed to 45.5.
The Seahawks are still undefeated at CenturyLink Field this season and should benefit from the home field advantage provided by the 12th man again on Sunday. Seattle’s defense has held its last two opponents to an average of just 8.5 points per game. They will need a similar performance this week at home against a Texans offense that has averaged 39.3 points per game over their last four.
Meanwhile, Wilson is coming off his best performance of the year so far after throwing for 334 yards and three touchdowns against New York. It will be important for Wilson and company to build off the momentum they were able to generate against the Giants. The lack of efficiency trying to move the football on the ground has hurt the Seattle offense this season as they are currently 22nd in the NFL in rushing yards per game. They have just 166 rushing yards in their last two games.
Houston has looked like a completely different team since rookie quarterback Deshaun Watson took over as the starter. Watson has thrown for 1,297 yards and 15 touchdowns while rushing for another 202 yards and two scores. While the rookie passer still suffers from lapses from time to time, his big arm and ability to make plays with his legs has really stood out. The Texans have won three of five with the two losses coming at New England and home to Kansas City. Those are two of the best teams in the NFL.
Meanwhile, the defense will be in tough without two Pro Bowl caliber players in J.J. Watt and Whitney Mercilus to season-ending injuries. Houston’s defense held up well in a 33-17 win over the Cleveland Browns in the week before its bye but will face a much tougher test on Sunday in Seattle.
