Two of the NFL’s remaining undefeated teams will square off in an important Week 7 contest. The Pittsburgh Steelers are 5-0 and have been playing outstanding football since the season began, getting it done both sides of the ball. Meanwhile, the Tennessee Titans have been a big surprise this year as they are also 5-0. Which team will stay perfect and take sole possession of the No. 1 seed in the AFC?

NFL Week 7 Point Spread and Betting Analysis

The under has been 16-6 in the Steelers last 22 games against AFC opponents and 8-1 in their last nine games on the road. Pittsburgh is 6-1 against the spread (ATS) in their last seven games when playing on the road against teams with winning records. Pittsburgh is also 14-5-1 straight up in their last 20 games as the road favorite. The favored team has been 3-10 ATS in the last 13 games between these two teams.

Meanwhile, the over is 8-1 in the Titans last nine games at home and 6-1 in the last seven matchups between these two teams. Tennessee has been 10-4 ATS in their last 14 games against AFC opponents and 6-2 ATS in their last eight games following an ATS win in the game prior.

Pittsburgh Steelers

The Steelers were able to pick up a huge win over the Cleveland Browns a week ago, winning the game 38-7. Pittsburgh proved that they are a legitimate undefeated football team that can beat anyone in their path. Their offence should be in good shape this week against a Titans team that just allowed the Houston Texans to score 36 points on them. It’s flying under the radar right now but the Titans defence isn’t very good. They’re allowing 409.8 yards per game, which ranks them 27th in the NFL.

The Steelers offence has great balance right now as quarterback Ben Roethlisberger has made the passing game effective once again. On top of that, James Connor, who ran for 101 yards and a touchdown last week, is leading an effective ground game.

The Steelers defence should give this team the edge in this showdown. They just kept the No. 1 rushing attack in the NFL under wraps and will have to limit the league’s leading rusher now in Derrick Henry. If they can slow him, they’ll have the upper hand.

Tennessee Titans

Regardless of all the adversity that this team has had to face, they are 5-0. Their defence hasn’t been where they have wanted it to be so far in this season but they have still performed well enough to win games. Their offence has been more than capable of making up for that, though, as they have looked dominant.

Quarterback Ryan Tannehill threw for 364 yards and four touchdowns with only one interception in their 42-36 win over the Texans last week. Don’t look now but he’s fourth in the NFL in QBR, fourth in touchdown passes and fourth in fewest interceptions (with just two). One of the biggest reasons to their passing success has been because of their superstar running back Derrick Henry. Henry has been great all season long but turned his play up a notch last week. He ran for 212 yards and two touchdowns while adding on 52 yards receiving. His dominance in the rushing attack opens up so much more possibilities for this offense. If Tannehill can soften up the Steelers defense through the air, that could create enough room for Henry to get his engine going.
