The Pittsburgh Steelers and Jacksonville Jaguars have combined for 10 wins on the season.  Unfortunately for Jacksonville fans, nine of those wins belong to the undefeated Steelers.

These teams come into this Week 11 matchup on different trajectories.  The 9-0 Steelers crushed the Bengals 36-10 in Pittsburgh last week, while the 1-8 Jaguars are coming off yet another loss, after losing 24-20 to the Packers in Green Bay.  The Steelers are 10-point favourites on the NFL odds for this game, with a total of 46.5.

NFL Week 11 Point Spread and Betting Analysis

Pittsburgh is 5-0-1 against the spread (ATS) in their last six games after scoring more than 30 points in the previous game. The under is 4-0 in the Steelers’ last five games after scoring more than 30 points in their previous game.

The over is 4-1 in the Jaguars’ last five games as home underdogs, but the under is 4-1 in Jacksonville’s last five Week 11 games.

This is the second Week 11 matchup in a row between these teams.  They last met in Week 11 during the 2018 season with the Steelers winning 20-16 in Jacksonville.  The road team is 5-0-1 ATS in the last six meetings between these teams.

Pittsburgh Steelers

Things keep clicking for Pittsburgh. Despite not practicing all last week due to potential COVID concerns, Ben Roethlisberger had, probably, the best game of his season against the Bengals. The Steelers’ QB threw for 333 yards and four TDs giving him 22 TDs on the year, good for fifth in the league. Diontae Johnson was Roethlisberger’s favourite target, picking up 116 receiving yards and a TD.

Pittsburgh’s defence has been outstanding this season.  The Steelers sacked Joe Burrow four times last week and held him to 213 passing yards. The Steelers are No. 1 in the league in sacks (36) and QB hits (92) and are holding teams to 211.3 passing yards per game (fifth in the league).

Jacksonville Jaguars

In just his second NFL start ever, Jaguars QB Jake Luton struggled against the Packers, last week.  Luton was held to 169 passing yards with one TD and one interception against a Green Bay defence that is not exactly threatening, especially compared to the Steelers defence he will face this week.

The offensive line didn’t help Luton much in Green Bay.  Luton was sacked four times, bringing the number of sacks given up by Jacksonville this season, to 28, which ranks them 27th in the league. The defence hasn’t been much help either.  The Jaguars have given up 283.9 passing yards per game, ranking them 27th in the NFL.
